  1. Yeah and Pujols' base running gaffe should just be swept under the rug. The box score doesn't tell the whole story. Good teams can make up for mistakes too like the A's did. Doubt the Angels would have. They would of just rolled over and died.
  2. Just got back from the game and Scioscia is an absolute joke. Every year, this team is one of the most undisciplined and least fundamentally sound teams in the league it seems like. There is never any fire or intensity with this team and it just seems like everyone goes through the motions. Real stoic and boring, just like their manager. Teams continually under achieve even with very talented rosters. In no way is it too early to worry. 20 games was enough to seal our fate last season. We are already 7 games in. I would applaud a coaching change as I have been calling for Scioscia's head for years. At some point a firing shot to light a fire under these complacent losers' asses would be great. I would LOVE to see Scioscia gone. I resent the man.
  3. At least this should fix his "dead arm". When it rains it pours.
  4. The early argument is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. People were saying the same shit last year. Every game means just as much whether it's the first game in April or the last game in September. The best way to describe this team is just dead. Everyone looks like they would rather be somewhere else.
  5. 100% disagree, but that's okay. One thing I think we all can agree on is let's get the hell out of Cincinnati and pound Texas.
  6. Yeah, I don't 100% hate the bunt call, but with a guy like Trout, I think you roll the dice and see what happens. Aybar was hitting well today and anything in the gap scores Trout easily.
  7. Exactly. The situations are not even remotely close.
  8. The book play is not to walk Pujols. That is the furthest thing from the truth. That puts the go ahead run on base without us having to do anything. When you are ahead you make them earn everything no matter who is at the plate especially when you have one of the best closers in the game on the mound. Walking Pujols would of been ludicrous. Votto's run yesterday was meaningless. The only run that mattered was standing on second base. You walk Votto because you don't let their best hitter have a chance to hit when the only run that matters is the one on second. Let Phillips beat you because even if he hits a gapper, it doesn't matter if Votto scores. If Hamilton hits a gapper, and Pujols scores, the Reds are now losing and you made Pujols do nothing to earn it. I hate to be blunt, but you are wrong.
  9. Scott Downs isn't Aroldis Chapman. Sorry.
  10. Trout would not have been on first that long for this to even occur. No way is Aybar making it through an entire K and Pujols GIDP without Trout attempting to swipe 2nd.
  11. Typical Scioscia decision. It wasn't like Pujols was at first base. Aybar puts one down the line or in the gap and Trout scores. Aybar hits a single and we have 1-3 no one out. Aybar doesn't do either and we take a chance that one of the most efficient base stealers in the game can get to second on his own.
  12. Fire Scioscia But for real, the bunt was an expected, dumb Scioscia move. Trout can get himself into scoring position. Don't waste an out. It's not like it's Pujols on first. Trout scores on a gapper.
  13. I wish Aybar played with as much intensity for us as he did during the WBC.
  14. Scioscia has got me to hate aggressive baseball.
  15. Came here just for this thread. You guys never let me down! Haha.
  16. Come on Hambone, drive in the Poo-Holes.
