    This 100%. The team is full of zombies. They have definitely taken on Scioscia's complacent, boring attitude. Unfortunately, since they didn't fire Scioscia after last season it would take time for a new guy to come in and establish his mantra. Nice Pujols. At least he is performing.

    What was with ending beer sales after the middle of the 6th inning? Is this the normal time? I went to grab a beer at 9:30 in the RF pavilion and it was shut down. It made sitting through the Jepsen debacle pretty horrible.

    And this is where it falls on Scioscia. Whatever they do, however they prepare in spring training just does not coincide with early season success. I stand by saying that a shake up at the top would be welcomed. I, for one, think it has been years in the making. The dude ran into a beast team in 2002 and has been riding those coat tails ever since.

    Agree with all of this. It is so sickening to see these guys just go through the motions or at least it appears that way from a fans' perspective. I'd love to see someone fly off the handle to inject some life because we sure as hell know Scioscia will not.

    You're taking anomalies and making them into generalities for the whole team. How many times has Choo ever dropped a baseball? Of course that does not make them fundamentally unsound. Scioscia's teams have been this way for years now. It's a body of work not just certain instances like you are pointing out.

    I'm not asking for a pinch runner in the third inning. I'm asking for a team to play baseball solid fundamentally, which Scioscia teams do not. Our base running is always horrible as well as our use of sacrifice bunts, contact plays, and situational hitting. The axe falls on somebody.
