I'm pretty sure this thread is about performance. I only put the money in to show it was very similar (almost identical if you take out Madson).

He still has a below 100 wRC+ and has for the last 3 seasons. I just don't see any way that Lucroy can gain that kind of value.

Because it's indicative of the fact that Eppler is absolutely clueless when it comes to free agent contracts, which scares the hell out of me.

Even if he improves a bit (which is unlikely because he's been incredibly meh for 3 seasons now), he still isn't better than Hedges.

I wasn't calling for us to sign them. I was calling for us to, if we were going to go dumpster diving, pay those pickups appropriately. Us making Allen the highest paid reliever on a one year deal, and him making over twice as much as the third highest paid reliever, is my issue.
