  1. He’s had a great series. You’re right. That guy seems to be on base all the time, and when he is, he’s stolen a few bases.
  2. I hope so. After the frustration of the last 3 games, I’d hope we can open just 1 game of “whoop ass” on the Orioles. That would be great
  3. Dude, Fantasyland is 5 miles west of Angel stadium. No way. After watching this team live the last 3 games I'm convinced of 1 thing for certain. The Pitching is death by 1000 paper cuts. I don't care if it's starting pitching or relief pitching. This teams ENTIRE pitching staff is not playoff caliber. It's simply not. The worst team in baseball completely out-schooled and out-coached this team. Pure and simple. The Orioles stole bases on our pitchers and catchers like nobody's business. They hit and ran. They sacrificed and moved runners around. They hit the long ball. This crappy Orioles team was like watching the 2002 Angel team, minus good starting pitching. It was like watching Friday night beer league softball. Anyone that bought into the 4 games the Angels played against the Dodgers as a potential wild card team was fooling themselves. This team has to play a massively tough slate in the next 2 months, including many games against teams ahead of us in the standings. If any of you watched the last 3 games and truly believe that this was some sort of mirage, I have news for you. It wasn't. This was a reality check, at the hands of the worst team in the American League.
  4. Very hard to choose just 3 but here goes: 1. Goodfellas 2. Tombstone 3. Pulp fiction I also considered Stripes, Anchorman, and Groundhog Day. this thread has some really great ones.
  5. The thing I remember about Ramon Ortiz was that he was just so freaking fidgety on the mound. He'd grab his nut sack after every pitch he threw.
  6. My parents spent a fortune on those things as kids, and all we did is blow them up with firecrackers, or light them on fire.
  7. This was my upbringing also. Whiffle ball and bats, footballs, skateboards, and my Mongoose bike. But as a young kid, I loved Tonka trucks. I think I had every Tonka truck made, and not the cheap ass plastic ones. I'm aging myself, but we had the metal ones.
  8. Except channels 2 and 9 locally in Los Angeles. Same issue as Dish just a different carrier, I think.
  9. I think for me it was the WAY the Angels lost tonight that was more frustrating than anything else. Tropeano came out, has the lead off hitter 1-2 and proceeds to plunk him. He proved tonight that he has no business being up at the big club level. He had to have instilled zero confidence in management, and yes I’m fully aware he wasn’t supposed to be the starter. But Jesus, he was simply a steaming pile of lawn sausage. The way the Angels went toe to toe with the Dodgers has some fans drinking the Kool Aid, but after these 2 games the glaring weaknesses of this team are magnified, IMO. Pitching of course is first on the list, but there are other things also. Lets just say some guys are scuffling right now
  10. I’m not sure AO. I have noticed since his return he seems to be trying to pull almost every pitch, like Pujols does. When Simmons uses the middle of the field, he is very successful and gets streaky hot. Just an observation.
  11. Thank god the Orioles like to issue 2 out walks and give up 2 out home runs also. Its like looking in a mirror
  12. Baltimore up 7-0 and still stealing bases on the Angels. Apparently they haven’t had many 7 run leads this year it appears.
  13. Tropeano’s sucktitude was well established long before Tyler’s untimely death. The 2 are independent
  14. It appears that his 7.00+ ERA in AAA wasn’t misleading, Strad.
  15. The worst team in baseball is doing this to Tropeano. Imagine what the Astros, Yankees or The Twins would be doing to him? Holy shit, it would be Matt Harvey 2.0
  16. Watching Tropeano pitch and watching this shit makes me hate the “2nd Wild Card” threads we’ve been reading.
  17. Once again, the Angels are playing down to their competition. Tropeano is not a very good pitcher. Exhibit A was him plunking the very first hitter on a 1-2, 42 foot breaking ball. This game is moving at a snails pace. ZZZZZ
  18. Man it’s fun to sweep the Dodgers. A lot of my friends are Dodger fans and it sure makes for fun times at work.
  19. Pujols, Upton, and Smith are a combined 0-12 stranding 8 runners on base. Not a single ball they hit of the 12 left the infield. That is absolutely dogshit
  20. The Angels have really squandered opportunities with RISP tonight, especially the last couple innings. Could have had a little breathing room.
