I just don't get the fascination for fans wanting old geezers to come to the Angels as "Hanger ons" to collect a big check, so they can shit the bed for a year. Their days are behind them. This org has done this time and again throughout its history to little success. I would rather go after young guys who's better days are ahead of themselves. Roster wise they are cheaper, provide more roster flexibility , more speed, less chance of injury.

I don't give a shit what unis they wear. They could wear Lederhosen for all I care, as long as they are winning.

Pitching will dictate how far they go. Starters will need to revert to 2022 numbers. And Relievers will have to be in the top 6-8. Cutting down on blown saves could really turn things around. With the pen able to have 8 relievers this year, they should have 2 long relievers instead of one to be able to piggyback with starters who throw for 4-5 innings. This would help keep the rest of the pen from being overworked. when those 1-2 inning guys are pitching consecutive days or every other day, they won't hold up.

Think Rengifo and Drury would be really good trade chips at the trade deadline, if they have similar seasons to last year.

I would stay away from Snell & Bellinger. This is not the year to give up draft picks.
