  1. The better question is, has he hit the ball out of the infield yet?
  2. Even after a walk to the 1st batter, and Sheets fouling off 4-5 pitches in the 1st inning, Dana's pitch count was pretty good. Two innings with the pitch count in the low 20's.
  3. Would not surprise me to see Rada as a September callup at 18 years old.
  4. In 2002 it was mediocre SP. Get 5-6 innings, keeping the team in the game. Then a shutdown bullpen to dominate, helping to get a save, or hold it down giving to offense a chance to come from behind for a win. Seems like the org is trying that recipe again.
  5. Beginning to think that Heyman sucking up to Boras is akin to Roger Lodge and Moreno.
  6. I think the only moves to be made will be at the end of Spring Training, when they know who is not going to make the team. Guys with major league contracts could be traded for prospects, or waived.
  7. For pure athletic ability Dave Winfield. He was drafted by NBA, MLB & NFL.
  8. I was a mailman in Cat City for 30 years. And my daughter lives in CC.
  9. If he were to be seen wearing one at spring training, mlb would go back to the old uni's the next day.
  10. I have said the same thing. One inning guys will be toast by the second half of the season when starters are averaging 4-5 innings. Another benefit is that if an injury happen to a starter, one of those guys will be stretched out to slide into the rotation. Then you can bring up another long guy and not have him thrown into the fire right away as a starter.
  11. More than likely that is why Arte kept him away from his interview.
  12. Several hitters in the lineup need to cut down on k's. Implementing a good 2 strike approach should be a must. PROTECT THE PLATE.
  13. For years, the minor league teams listed a Manager, Pitching coach and a Batting coach, and that was it. Looks like Perry might be getting thru to Arte about development.
  14. I don't have a problem with a smaller budget, if that savings is put back into scouting & development. I would like to see us getting players on the upside of their career, rather than the downside of their career.
