How about Dozier? Down year last year so he won't cost much. I remember him hitting one out at the big A last year.

Who gets moved to make room for Harper?
-
I heard Eppler on MLB network yesterday and it sounds like rebuilding the farm is concern #1 and he doesn't like long term deals. Whether this is posturing or not is anyone's guess but I would say we are out on any long term deals or anyone who costs a draft pick.
That being said, greinke and Robbie Ray makes the most sense to me. It would cost a ton over the next 3 years but would solidify the rotation and wouldn't gut the farm. Coming from AZ, both could be better next year and allow the halos to move controllable pitching(Tropeano, Barria) for offensive help. Hell, maybe they could get Haniger for Skaggs since Jerry couldn't resist trading for Skaggs again.

Morton to the Rays?

Really good horror drama on Netflix.

With an extension?

Surprised SD hasn't been more active.

Any takers for Chris Young? NY?

My only point is temper your expectations. Bring him up for the rest of the year and see if he can make the transition, many can't.

I think Eppler is going to use the trade deadline liberally. He'll sell off some pieces to accumulate depth while also getting some of his 2018/19 offseason shopping done a little early by acquiring a starter (which affords them the chance to push Meyer, Ramirez, Shoe and Middleton into the bullpen next year).
I would be extremely happy with this.

How about buying low on Archer?

What did Carlos Perez hit in AAA?

I'll be in 104 so hopefully the shade is there.

What time does the 3rd base side usually get shade?

It's been reported that he's testing free agency no matter what. I think everyone knows he's going to be a yankee next year.

Why not Beltre?
-
So what's his likely pitching schedule? Sunday in Oakland, Saturday at home against Oakland? If they schedule it right, his first 4 starts could be against Oakland, KC, and SF. Not a bad way to gain confidence.

Way too expensive if true.

I think he gets closer to 15 million a year. I'd offer him that.
Reports are he turned down 3/42 early in the offseason and he probably wishes he hadn't. Lynn got 1/12 so I think Cobb would be willing to take a 3 year deal with the same aav. Maybe have to include an opt out since those are all the rage. Push Shoe to close and the bullpen gets fixed too.
