He also hasn't been very good against left handers... Scioscia loves to platoon and likes to play guys immediately when they get called up...
Didn't homie just have a big hit against Doolittle?

With a day off tomorrow and Monday? Strange but I hope he isn't traded.
-
Seems like the yanks got a great deal on Frazier, Robertson, etc.
-
JDM to AZ?
-
I suppose I'd take Lowrie if the price was right.

Kinsler is having his worst year ever, just turned 35, and is owed $12M next year (EDIT: ...if his option is picked up, that is. His buyout is a pretty hefty $5M, too). Castellanos is below average defensively, and has only had one year of above average offense. Not sure how either one really solves any problems. I don't think either one is a difference-maker this year, if you're talking about making a push for the second wild card (which I still think is a bad idea).
While Kinsler is having a down year, a .700+ ops is something we could really use at 2B and we wouldn't have to give up much with Detroit cutting costs. Castellanos is a young, cost controlled 3B that would bring some stability to the position for years to come. I think with Simmons at SS we can continue to get away with not having elite defense at 3B.
As far as Cain goes, any free agent we pick up will cost major dollars. I feel like Cain has been pretty consistent with getting on base and we need people on base when Trout gets to the plate. I'd rather overpay for Cain and have a consistently good defensive outfield than continue to run a new player out in LF every year and hope for the best.
The key is getting better without depleting our farm system to where it was a couple years ago.

What would it take to get Kinsler and Castellanos from the Tigers? We could sign Cain in the offseason and be set for a few years.
-
Trade him to Detroit for Kinsler already.
-
I'd like the Angels to let Maybin walk and sign Cain.

I think they're called butter mints.

I can't stand Carol. Best case scenario is she turns and devours Carl while Rick makes out with his new flavor of the week.

Best hotel chain in that area is Drury inn. They have free food, free booze, and free wifi for guests.

British airways to London was the best flight I've ever been on and I sat economy. Sit on the top deck of the Airbus, the seat rows only have 2 seats.

He can play left, lead off, get on base, and steal bags. These are all things the angels could use more of. I really think Heaney gets exposed next year and we'll be stuck with another Shoemaker. Are you talking about Brett Gardner??? If so, LOL!!!!
Heaney taking that deal for 10% of all future earnings doesn't exude confidence either.
-
Heaney for Gardner.

Calhoun has continued to improve, and his defense this year was outstanding. Pretty stoked on having this guy in the lineup for the next few years.
Just sign Heyward already!

Huge price to pay for Phelps. Imagine the asking price on Dee Gordon.
