When we get an owner that is savvy and takes pride in his team..who realizes scouting,drafting and developing are the core foundation of a successful franchise..wouldn't hurt to exceed that tax every now and then either. Is Arte a baseball fan? Or just a business man? You can be both. At this point the only explanation starts at the top and trickles down. Arte has had his chance. I would like to see the next owner rich AF and a smart savvy baseball fan. Rich guys can be smart about baseball. A owner that takes pride in his win/loss record. All these owners are rich before they buy a baseball team or they couldn't buy a baseball team. So why buy? if not for the love of the game and for wins and titles? Yes equity is great and profitable. Wins and titles are also profitable.
