This really freaking sucks, Scott, and I'm sorry you have to deal with it. It's just shitty. There is no other word for it. 
I lost my brother to leukemia three years ago next month; he was 39. The reason I mention this is to tell you two things, one you know and one you may not. First, you will never stop missing her. That doesn't go away.  But eventually your first thought of her will stop being Man, I miss my sister and will become instead Man, I was lucky to have her as my sister. 

I'm 40 and I still do both.

Both. All we’re on tv. Part of the price was the tourney was 7 games total. The tournament was almost always in NC and a short drive for 7 of the 8 teams. NC state basketball was a national power and unc‘s biggest rival. The whole conference was good in those days. Shit   We we’re watching the tournament in elementary school back then. I guess the younger generation aren’t big fans. You can get reasonable tickets every year now.

Two weeks ago, I went down to New Mexico (where my parents live) to take my dad to see Bob Dylan. We got rear-ended at a very high rate of speed by a guy who was extremely fucked-up. He didn't even brake. The cops said they couldn't smell alcohol on his breath so they took him to the hospital for a blood test.
I haven't been able to access the police report yet, but I was looking at arrests to see if I could find him. I could not, but I did find this guy:

That was a horrible play call there with 16 sec left. He stood back there dribbling 40ft from the basket for ages before a desperation three.

1) My dad had a new client who got us (free) tickets to games at Pauley. Before that season, I had only been to one game; in '92, I went to four, including #1 Duke.
2) My cousin was a freshman at Stanford, backing up Adam Keefe so I watched a lot of his games. 
3) I grew at least 6 inches in less than a year and I went from being one of the better players in my elementary school to the single best and I realized playing in high school was guaranteed and that playing in college was actually a possibility.
