  1. Anyone think Phat Albert will be motivated to hit well against the Cardinals? Naw, didn't think so. How embarassing for him. Took the money and declined faster than my credit card.
  2. Smitty impressed as closer in 2014 when Frieri was let go and before the Street trade was made.
  3. Last year, the Royals swept the Angels in April. They went on the win the World Series. Maybe this is a good sign.
  4. I wouldn't consider being sent back to the Orioles as "being sent down". I just forgot to add the "or be sent back to his former team" part.
  5. You don't have to worry about Choi being sent down. He has to stay on the ML roster (Rule 5.)
  6. All we need is for Weaver to keep us in the game. Weather we scored 3 runs or 9, he did that last night.
  7. Looks like Ortega has seized the left field spot. He's played very good so far. Decent hitting, good defense, speed. Might be a steal for Eppler.
  8. I guess they will make an incredible run and win the World Series. Jose Altuve is gonna hit grand slams in back to back games soon.
  9. I feel better now that Jered Weaver (3.12) has a lower ERA than John Lackey (4.97).
  10. It's a good thing nobody is running away with the division thus far. Because no way do the A's win the West.
  11. And Scott Brooks went to Washington. Luke Walton and Brian Shaw are intriguing options, at least they will bring the triangle offense back.
  12. Charles162 (aka Charlesangels and CharlesSBC) wanted Fowler, Chapman, Crumpton and Todd Frazier. And he wanted Sherman Johnson and Jett Bandy to be regulars in the lineup. Remember, Ace?
  13. Bring up Javy Guerra, Al Albuquerque and lefty Neal Cotts. All with ERAs under 2.00 at SLC. I don't care who gets sent down/DFA'd.
  14. Will the Houston Lastros' last place standing last? Stay tuned! Skankees are also in last place.
  15. Yes, I know Newcomb was the centerpiece of the deal, but Aybar was our regular SS from 2007-2015, and would have been this year if the trade wasn't made.
  16. Meanwhile, Matt Joyce is hitting .316 for the Bucs as the platoon/4th outfielder.
  17. I can't judge Nava right now. He's on the DL and has only 14 at-bats this season.
  18. The Angels and Rangers both offered him 5 years and $80 million. Except the Rangers added the 6th year $16 million option that Arte refused to offer.
