  1. This is my favorite thread right now. All the other threads (due to our major League team) are depressing. It’s nice to hear about some of our young prospects making names for themselves.
  2. I completely agree. I just don’t know what to think anymore. For us to compete we would have to get rid of a lot of our prospects. But by not doing so, we risk losing Trout. Can Ohtani just come back please so we have less holes to try and fill to compete.
  3. Man, I feel deflated by the angels. From the losing to the injuries; my heart hurts.
  4. Young should of and could of caught that. He came to a complete halt and the ball almost dropped on his shoe laces.
  5. Aww, the old kicking the can down the road method that has never worked for us. How about Let’s go get help now.
  6. This is stupid. Why is everyone so quick to give up on the season. You guys are depressing. Richards is not going to get us anything of substance most likely. Plus that further puts a hole in our rotation. Also, HE IS TROUTS BESTFRIEND. let’s just pack it in so Trout will leave for sure. Good one guys. Instead of thinking about who we can trade and get rid of for the sake of trading, we need to be thinking about what is going to make us a contender. We are not a small market team. Quit thinking like one.
  7. Something needs to be done because We can not continue to rely on Trout for our only offense. Our pitching staff is seeming to come back to earth recently.
  8. I can’t wait for Calhoun to get healthy from his phantom injury. I say we dfa young, Send back down hermosillo and blash. Bring up EYJR and play the hot hand between Calhoun and EYJR (what ever hot hand will mean, or the hottest hand). If Calhoun really is injured then send back Blash and bring up EYJR. See if EYJR or Calhoun can bring a spark. Maybe the time off for Calhoun has worked. If not try EYJR.
  9. Can you imagine our lineup if we had moustakas and Jay Bruce added to the lineup and we got someone like Herrera, familia, or Britton for the bullpen? Then Cozart can get 4 or more starts a week as utility moving between 3rd, SS, and 2nd, also getting everyone in the infield a few extra days over over the course of the season.
  10. I see your point with trading. I was most referring to him leaving when his contract is up and not resigning with us. That’s what I took from the word “leaving.” If we trade him and amassed a ton a propects then yes, There is a chance we may be better off. But also a chance we are not. But why take the risk, Let’s try and win now. We need another impact bat (Moustakas) or even change of scenery type of player like ( Jay bruce), and a bullpen piece or two. And we can contend now with the best player.
  11. There is literally no way that we are a better off if Trout leaves. How would we be better off if the best player of potentially all time leaves?
  12. I agree. Atleast Kole does something well (his defense).
  13. Is it just me, or has Maldonado’s pitch calling seemed to have taken a step back this year. I feel like there are more two strike hit this year.
  14. Yeah. Said no one who has ever played the game before. Except the catcher part. Catcher really is a bitch to play.
  15. Segura and Newcomb were not even in the same trade. If we had both Newcomb and Segura, who knows what the rest of the team would look like as that would be two trades that would not have happened.
  16. Im for it, if the price is right. Like othe rmentioned. Fills multiple needs. But just concerned with his age combined with. Ring so fed through 2020. That would be another late 30’s player making slot of money.
  17. Come one now. this is proof that we need bullpen pieces. Can’t even keep a game close. Much less a lead.
  18. Young just plain stinks in the feild and at the plate.
  19. Keep in mind the quality of the inning thrown. The feild B pitchers are pitching in high leverage situations in close games. So their numbers tend to carry more weight. Someone like Chavez is pitching in games where the pressure isn’t as daunting, and games are less close. I don’t know how much weight should be given to the high leverage situation pitchers, but atleast a small consideration should be given. Especially since that is what we need most; effective leverage situation pitchers/closer.
