  1. Why is Valbuena even wearing an angels jersey anymore. He swings at balls and watches the strikes.
  2. Hahaha. I would hate to see what it would look like if you are right. I can’t imagine another level of suckitude. That would be complete Blow-A-Tude
  3. I do not agree. I think we are doomed if we keep trotting our the same lineup. Fletcher seems to give us a spark. May be some of the other youngsters could do the same. They can’t play any worse, That is for sure. I know we get some players back from Injury. But we need a spark.
  4. Then why are you even reading a thread that bothers you then. Instead of being sarcastic and asinine, try reserving your comments for meaningful discussions. Others seems to care to respond in a meaningful way. That is the purpose of this forum; To discuss angels baseball.
  5. May be juuuuuussssstttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt a little bit.
  6. I’m pretty sure 310 in pony ball would have been way out of left field. 310 is out of almost any varsity high school field.
  7. I agree. I just think we need to look at long term pieces as well, like simmons type trades. Because our luck with free agency has not been good of recent.
  8. Valbuena........ Needs to be Cut Marte............. Needs to be Cut Akeem Morris.......... Needs to Get Cut Lamb ...........Needs to be Cut Pujols............ Needs to have his playing time reduced. Then we should let Fletcher get regular starts to see what he is about. We need to bring up Ward, Suarez, and Thaiss and give them regular starts and see what they are about .... May be that will give this team a jump start, as our young prospects can not do worse that what we currently have playing everyday. Anything else missing? Anyone else I am missing that needs to be cut?
  9. I think we need to make one of these trades. I no longer advocate a rent player unless we make a trade for some like DeGrom or Hand, and we all of a sudden turn it around before the the waiver/or non waiver trade deadline. We now need several impact players now to compete. Our team is playing as bad as they possibly can at this point. It is just sad considering how hot we started. We need a big bat or two. An ace starter and an ace bullpen piece. I’d be willing to trade parts of our farm if we got cost controllable pieces.
  10. How are we not below 500? We look bad. The only thing we can consistently do well at is: SUCK
  11. This horrible hitting seems to be very contagious now. Trout seems to be having symtoms now.
  12. Time for a trout walk, and an Upton big fly. Or big fly and a big fly back to back.
  13. One more out. We get out the inning with no more damage. Trout walks. Upton hits a two run homer to tie it.
  14. You have to give it up to Skaggs. That is the exact type of start we could wish for. But we need the offense to put a few runs on the board.
  15. How many clean peanuts can we eat before we want/need a real meal?
  16. The a’s are winning in the ninth. So we may be tied with them if we lose.
  17. Does anyone think we will eventually pick up a reliever or two that actually has current value, and currently can Pitch in high leverage situations? Or any impact player at all before the trade deadline? I know the consensus is we are currently staying the course to see where we are by the trade deadline to see if such a move is even worthwhile. But I think we should act now and try and run down this second wild card. I am not saying to gut our farm or even give up a top 8-10 prospect. But something similar to the Royals Herrera trade or something like that.
  18. I will predict us getting hot and winning 91 games and seattle winning 89 games. We barley squeak by in the WC round. Then we lose the first game of each series, BUT WE END UP WINNING each playoff series just like in 2002. And we win the WS and put up our second WS winner flag.
  19. This is why it makes sense to trade for a rental BP arm that is having a good year. The cost is lower in terms of prospects we would have to give up, and if we do not resign them, then we do not have to risk volatility. If we spend more trade capital (prospects) for someone like Hand, we risk him not pitching well from year to year.
