Yes. We're fucked because of a tweet.
Well at least you found an argument you might be able to win. Shame it isn't the one I was remotely implying. Good effort though. 4/10

This got a chuckle from me.
The obliviousness of missing Trump's dishonesty earned an actual facepalm from me. Well done opposition. (We're so fucked)

Do you think Russia wants to be involved with Afghanistan again?
Seems so

Not as profitable
The (mostly) nonlethal human suppression market being developed by the usual five defense contractors is seriously undervalued in the market.

We are currently trying to find a war.
Silly when all we have to do is look around at home.

They are just pissed that they might not be able to bomb and kill more brown people.
Screw them.
Yeah it seems (fwiw) that the only real division by the Republicans are the hawks being impatient. Doubt it means too much though. Perhaps they just want political cover for the eventual increase of Russian influence in Afghanistan?

And of course like the section of the article you quoted, even when the opposition reposts Trump's lies as fodder for ridicule on social media, they are at the same time spreading his lies.

There seems to be a good 40% of the county that doesn't realize he's constantly lying to them. What's up with that?
The number is way higher than 40%. How many people in this thread confuse a Trump lie with "haha, look what Trump thinks. What an idiot!"? I think people, especially as they get older if science is to be believed, just default to trusting a statement.

I don't know if the precise words of Trump's tweets are as calculated as Thomas is making them out to be, but I think Trump knows that he can create chaos and distraction with his tweets.
This is a good article on it.

You are trying too hard to make an argument out of nothing.
I understand.

Trump uses Twitter for nuclear carpet bombing. Nothing tactical or precise about it.
You left out strategic. Odd...

Other presidents needed notes such as "I hear you" when speaking with the families of shooting victims.
Very normal.
It's not normal. But when you weaponize linguistics it is important to get it right.

Yes, that was my point.

Did Trump really fail to properly distinguish "there" from "their" in a recent tweet about Iran?
No, I honestly don't think so.

It's the truth. The media/news services have slipped into politicized editorial instead of news gathering and dissemination. Their integrity is the by-product of their own choices.
So at no point do you address Trump's behavior. Understandable.

Chuck's a potential non citizen?
You mean Charlie now. And we know that Charlie is was the shortened form of Victor-Charlie, which itself was code for Viet-Cong. The pieces all fall into place!

Trump Calls His Intelligence People ‘Naive’
*************************
That's seems a little like, the pot calling the kettle black...
Another sample of fascist behavior. Trump, not Ace. A perfect specimen of newspeak and blackwhite. Yet even his more passionate opponents would rather just explain it as idiocy.

The problem with calling Trump a fascist is that it belittles the meaning of the word. Keep calling everyone fascists and people will be numb to it by the time a real one shows up.
I was with you until Trump. All the previous blunders by the left has indeed left the comparisons hollow. But a populist who openly calls himself a nationalist, allies himself with like-minded authoritarians, lies to an extreme even in a context of being a politician, scapegoats minorities, antagonizes his enemies and undermines what little media integrity we have left? The man is a walking trope of fascism.
