  1. Not a horrible choice, but stuff like this always makes me wonder why other players aren't in the hall. Heck Lance Berkman is comparable to crime dog, Keith Hernandez was a better first baseman. Guys like Grich, Whitaker, Lofton, Edmonds, Finley seem more deserving.
  2. Jeff McNeil won the NL batting title this year, but was only 15th in the MVP voting. Shouldn't he have been higher since leading the league in batting is amazing and there's no way a player with a lower average can be better or just as good?
  3. What percentage does Abreu get this year?
  4. Why is Molina a HOF player and Martin not?
  5. If Yadier Molina is such a sure fire hall of famer, shouldn't Russell Martin be a hall of famer too? Molina has 55.7 career WAR, Martin had 55.0.
  6. Ozzie Smith has 30+ WAR over Molina. All star appearances are overrated. Miguel Cabrera was an all star this year.
  7. Yadier Molina was a great player, but people are talking about him like he is an all time great. I know the catcher position is hard to quantify, but his BWAR is only 42.2. There's lots of catchers with similar WAR (in many cases higher) that didn't even get past the first ballot of the HOF. What am I missing? Jason Kendall (41.7) Jorge Posada (42.7) Lance Parrish (39.6) Thurman Munson (46.1) Russell Martin (38.9) Gene Tenace (46.8) Bill Freehan (44.8) Darrell Porter (40.9) Jim Sundberg (40.5)
  8. He only started 5 games at first that year so it didn't last long. He was a solid bench player for a couple years.
  9. It's not fantastic, but it's certainly not horrible. He also was one of the best defensive 2nd baseman that season. I'd be more than happy if the Angels got another gold glove second basemen that could have a 700+ OPS
  10. Kinsler had a 2.5 WAR in 90 games and was traded for two relief pitching prospects. People seem to think he sucked when he was here
  11. Barria had 1.9 WAR and some people want to get rid of him because of a million dollars?
  12. Glaus had some "enhancements" that surely helped him
  13. I'm to lazy to do the math, but your saying 161 innings of 2.35 ERA is worth less than a batter with 27 home runs? There's currently 29 players with 27 home runs this year. According to you they should all be paid like a starting pitcher with a 2.35 ERA.
  14. I don't understand. If you pick Judge, you're essentially saying 27 home runs is more valuable than Ohtani's pitching this season.
