  1. They were both pretty bad defensively. Abreu -10 BWAR, Gwynn was -7 BWAR.
  2. Bobby Abreu, he was almost as good as Tony Gwynn.
  3. I think people actually exaggerate how bad he was. Was he great? No, but he wasn't a negative WAR pitcher.
  4. Tim Belcher, just for getting kicked.
  5. This was a shitty season. Were not making the playoffs, were not going to make the playoffs and Ohtani is going to sign somewhere else. We should have sold everyone.
  6. Maybe he can come back as a pitcher.
  7. Look at defensive metrics, Trout isn't great in center, hasn't been for awhile. Moving to left might help him stay healthy. Metrics clearly show Moniak is better defensively right now.
  8. I love Ohtani, but I still don't think what he is doing is sustainable. When he gets to 32/33 years old I think doing both is really going to take a toll and his contract will be horrible. We need to get something for him while we can.
  9. Can he stay in center field from here on out. Trout is an average defender at best at this point. I think it's finally time to put Trout in left field (assuming he is ever healthy to play again). Heck, at this point Ward would even make a better center fielder.
  10. Someone mentioned Sean Casey. With our recent recent lack of success with draft picks, it would be a win if he has a Sean Casey career.
  11. Typical Trout at this point. We just can't count on him to play a full season.
  12. This was a joke in case you couldn't tell.
  13. Just another player that leaves the Angels only to become an all star.
  14. Angels Dodgers Padres Giants Seattle (New stadium and old one) Royals I still need to see a Nationals and Orioles game while I live herem That's it.
  15. I think Barria can be an average starter, which would be a huge upgrade.
  16. Trout is league average defender at this point. He should be in left in a few years.
  17. It's nice to have depth. Releasing MLB quality players is something we haven't done in awhile.
  18. His career ERA as a starter is 4.03, it's 3.93 as a reliever. He seems pretty even regardless of what he does.
  19. Why doesn't Barria start? He has a good track record. He has the 2nd highest pitching WAR for the Angels since he debuted.
  20. Since his debut he probably has the 2nd highest WAR among angel pitchers.
  21. Zack Greinke and Kershaw have similar Bwar. Kershaw is at 77.8 BWAR and Greinke is at 76.9. Lots of people seem to think Greinke isn't a lock for the hall of fame. They forget how good he was.
