  1. This is so frustrating to listen to....and I'm not just talking about Jose Mota doing PBP either! "And the ball is hit....and it's going to be to the 3B , who will look after it to see the 3rd out of the inning....the Ainyels come up empty again on a time when you thought there was damage that they could do!"

  2. I'm very fond of Kole, so I really really hope he can get his shit together. Him coming back to even close to career norms for the rest of the way is the best solution to this problem, period. It's extremely noticeable when his glove is not in RF, absurdly so sometimes. So if he can't make it back, whoever they target via trade needs to bring some plus defense along with the bat. OF D is so much more important than it gets mentioned for, especially so for a P staff so prone to testing the limits of their Of'rs. That said, in the interim, I'm really hoping that Blash can get ahold of one in the next few games if he's still here. A guy like that at the bottom of the lineup who has light tower power is a really nice thing to have. If he could just get a hit or 2 to get going, it would take a lot of those butterflies away, and maybe enable him to relax and get into his game. If that happened, then we'd have a platoon option out there at least, and one with good power production. I don't necessarily like platoons, but we won a lot of games way back when with George Hendrick and Ruppert Jones tag-teaming RF...

So far this year we've got Kinsler, Cozart, Calhoun, Trout, Ohtani, Simmons all moving around in the batting order but luckily we've had Pujols firmly entrenched in the cleanup spot all year

No kidding. I wonder if at some point Eppler has a chat w/Sosh about it. I mean, we're playing well, and Albert is still fairly clutch at times....but he's friggin' 40 and slow af, and this team is trying to get to October. Unless he goes on a HR binge soon (and sustains it), he needs to drop down to 6-7 IMO.

I'm not convinced Ohtani is batting today. He's been in the lineup for the last 3 games, and I don't think he has had 4 games straight this year. I don't know if now is the time when they would start ramping up his playing time, given the fact that he's had two (minor) injuries in the last couple weeks.

Granted, I really wanna see him bat so we can shove it in Dipoto's stupid fat face.

Praying that he's in there....getting ready to board my flight from Reno to Seattle. Going tonight and Saturday, and if he's on the bump Sunday, he won't be hitting Saturday....so tonight's my only chance to see him. Would love to see him put a dot on the 'HIT IT HERE' Bullseye in RF ?

  5. As cool as it would be for him to do it at home.....I had calculated (see also: guessed) what the game might be for AP's 3,000th about 20 games ago, and I came up with Friday, May 4 in Seattle. Because of this, I bought a plane ticket to fly up there 2 weeks ago in order to see it in person (I never have been to a big milestone game). So I'm either hoping for an 0-fer, a 1-fer, or Showalter gets confused and accidentally IBB's Albert 4 times, thinking that it was Trout's spot. ?
