I'm thinking this is gonna be Joe's last game as an Angel. Has anyone ever been released mid-inning?

I just got about 2 days worth of Taco Bell on Monday and that was a very bad idea. I've shit 4 times today, 3 in the last 2 hours. I feel like lava is pouring out of my anus.
I'm using that lava line...

Nice tombstones Robbie!

I'm thinking this is the game that the Blanton RP carriage goes all pumpkin...

With that last AB, Josh might've just cracked my top 5 in least favorite Angel of all ****ing time. Not a clutch situation, not a high pressure spot, nothing real special about the situation, at all. It was just another in the never ending series of absolutely horrible ****ing plate appearances, a series that appears to have no end, like the Simpsons.

Plus they can start Trout, Bourjos, and Calhoun in the OF and DH Hackilton.
We need pitching from somewhere.
It ain't Tommy "don't call me Ed Halicki" Hanson. ONE good start doesn't prove a dang thing.
Nice Ed Halicki bomb there AO....not Jack Lazorko??

So funny to see all the butthurt over a fun little topic to discuss. Keep it up AJ, you are the kind of dude that would be fun to wind up sitting next to at a game..

Jayson Stark wrote this today, pretty damning for JDP...
"But other teams say the Brewers have other forces at work. In Lohse's case, they surrendered a first-round pick for signing him, and clubs they've spoken to say they believe the team has factored that into its price tag. And past history also may be an element in their asking price on Gallardo and K-Rod.
"One of the problems with dealing with Milwaukee," said an AL exec, "is that [their] trade for Segura last year was so one-sided that they want another tilted deal. Not going to happen."

Anyone think this run won't score here?

Things were getting better...
...Until he opened his mouth and said things were getting better.
But not small sample sizes.
The last 19 games for Pujols might qualify, but this was after he said things were getting better.
Has it been 19 games since that ridiculous piece came out about him 'finding his stroke'? I knew that was a whammy....

My son hit an oppo home run off him in HS
Is your kid available? Can he play 3B?

This is what they do after a hot streak. They don't "cool off", they just completely shit the bed.
This is a bad baseball team. Plain and simple. I'm not getting excited over anymore hot streaks this team may have, because I know they will follow it up by playing like this.
Just said the same thing to my wife TD, their 'hot streaks' are complete anomalies, total bullshit. I ****ing hate this baseball team. They are my least favorite Angels squad of all time, that includes the 1992 Von Hayes-Hubie Brooks-Ken Oberkfell version...

Nice bday present for this 44 yr old big baby. Thank you Joshua.

Projected pitching matchups for the Boston series (according to CBS Sports):
Friday: Doubront vs. Wilson
Saturday: Dempster vs. TBA
Sunday: Lackey vs. Weaver
Lackey v. Weaver...talk about appointment TV...

Indeed it is...they both have really sucked! At least they are both pulling out of the nose dive...

At the big league level, it's more about between the ears than mechanics. That's not to say tweaking a guy's mechanics aren't addressed from time to time. But (and this makes me wanna mouth-vomit) I agree with LT on his point about when guys get up to the show, they pretty much have their shit dialed in mechanics wise, classic delivery or not. On his point about which pitching coach has really made a difference, consistency-wise, for some guys, I would suggest Dave Duncan, Leo Mazzone, Roger Craig, Dave Wallace, Rick Anderson, Rick Peterson, Joe Kerrigan, John Farrell, Orel Hershiser, Bill Fischer, Bud Black, Larry Rotschchild, Marcel Lachemann, Galen Cisco, Art Fowler, Mike Maddux, Ray Miller just to name many. I'm well aware that most of these guys also had some studs to coach in their time, but most of these guys were also able to crowbar some pretty nice performances from some otherwise nondescript pitchers. Examples? Here ya go:
Duncan: Pineiro, Lohse, Kile
Mazzone: Neagle, Burkett, Ortiz, Wright
Craig: Reuschel, Mike Scott, Donnie Moore
Wallace: Martinez Brothers, Hershiser
Anderson: Hernandez, Pavano
I would love to keep Googling, but I gotta split...I guess my point is, I like Mike Butcher. He will always have equity with me because of the way he handled the Adenhart tragedy, but I don't think he is a difference maker as a big league pitching coach. And I don't think it's about helping with a guys delivery, I think it's because, from what I heard, (Jepsen is a Reno guy, he's a friend of a friend, and it may be BS) he's an asshole. we've seen glimpses of it in some of his soundbites ("I sleep just fine"). Who knows for sure about that part, but I can't name one guy who came here and either:
A. Got Better
B. Continued his previous trajectory (outside of Pineiros 1st year here)
I could be way off, I'm on vacation, I have had a few beers.
Would you be opposed to the Angels signing Dice-K?
