I'm not feelin this team....I think they are terrible. The fervor for every Spring since I've been a fan (1978) should be off the charts with this lineup, but they seem to be the puzzle that don't fit. Sure hope I'm wrong about them, but I can't picture any scenario where they make the postseason...hell, I'm having a hard time envisioning them being over .500 right now. As last year shows, ST means absolutely nada, but at least last year gave me something to be fired up about. Man, I hope they have a 'switch' to flip on Monday...

After all the years of misery being an Angels fan, I detested the cockiness the phrase "Just Another Halo Victory" brought, as if it were a ho-hum thing.  It wasn't.  Every day the Angels won was a good day, and every day the Angels lost was a bad one.  And over the course of the Angels history, they had more bad days than good ones, as such, I had more bad days than good ones.

 

I vote for "Light That Baby Up!"  It's much more appropriately celebratory.

Looked like Mexico/Dodgers 3B Luis Cruz was motioning to the pitcher after the bunt to hit the next guy in the ribs.

 

The whole idea of "bush league" is kind of silly to begin with, but it's a tournament where run differential is a big deal, so getting upset over that bunt was stupid.

I agree now, I didn't realize how big run diff. was in this tournament. The coaches should be stressing that fact to the players, letting them know that 'running it up' is part of the deal here.....if a good MLB player (i.e. A.Gonzalez) would have gotten hurt in that scrum, that would probably be the beginning of the end of the WBC...

NAFTA be damned! That was one of the most entertaining ones I've seen in years...BTW, bunting with a 6 run lead in the 9th is pretty bush, but with the runs scored tiebreaker being what it is, I get it to some extent.
