Father's Day. All I wanted to do was watch the Angels go for the sweep of the Yankees. Guess which day that MLBN, ESPN, TBS, and the entire MLB Extra Innings package decides not to show a ****ing Yankee game. I just pulled and sprayed weeds for 90 minutes out in the hot sun, knowing that my reward would be to sit in the AC, flick on the 60", crack a cold beer, and watch the ball game. So depressed. Was this supposed to have been an ESPN game at one time or something, and they flexed it out? There are like 6 empty channels on the MLB package right now. No ****ing reason in hell why the ****ing Yankees would not be on there today. Unbelievably bad luck.

You're probably right...and if they really are one of the worst teams in baseball, and keep on truckin' towards the cellar, some huge changes to the whole org have to be coming, right? It's not like this is a total fluke season, with last year's April giving us a sneak preview of what 'extremely talented roster but horrible team' looked like. One thing though, I am so much more relaxed watching my favorite team play when I know they suck and have zero expectations. I was actually just shaking my head and chuckling in the 9th tonight, kinda like when people watch the first few episodes of 'Idol' every season, and that whole freak show...

I have been one of the biggest failos on here since March. I knew they were going to be bad this year, I just had a feeling. But they have too much talent on this roster to be this bad. I predicted 80-82 at the start, so I think they are going to start climbing out of this hole, get on a pretty good run for a couple of months to climb over .500, and then shit the bed again in September to finish well back of Oakland and Texas (in that order), as they should. They will win on talent alone thru the Summer, but then it will come time to reach deep and win on heart and guts, and they will find the cupboard bare again.

It's been a lot of fun again watching this team the last few days, but I think they dug way too big of a hole again to have a shot at the playoffs. No way would I make a trade of any decent minor leaguers to try and salvage this season. They thought this group was good enough to get there before the season, let's find out.

It's not his fault that he was signed, and I am not saying that Blanton is the reason he should be fired. Conversely, can you name a reason why he should keep his gig? The success of Rodney, Santana, and even Kazmir after leaving his watch is a ringing indictment to me. Lets not even mention the team's pitching rankings so far this year. I know, injuries, minor leaguers blah blah blah...I think (my opinion) that they need a new voice in there. What the hell could it hurt?
