    Part of the reason it takes 3 minutes is because all of the umpires have to run to a room and then come back out. This system should be quicker than the current system and take less time than the manager arguing a disputed call.

    I actually like this. The NHL hasn't had many problems with reviews in Toronto and I don't mind the challenge system.

    I can. Trout is a few months younger, plays better defense in center field and right now is cheaper than Puig. He's also a much better base runner.

    Unless it's for 12 years/240, Trout's agent will laugh at any 12 year deals, the max extension will likely be 10 years.

    I love the stupid steroid argument above. If an old guy gets hurt and regresses, he's on roids. If he kills the ball he's on roids. No matter what he does a player is on roids.

    That's fine by me, change a lot of the players and the manager. If Dipoto can't get it done next year he can go too. Playoffs or bust.

    Results are what matter at the end of the day. Maybe his process is better but it's hard to tell with the crap out on the field.

    Trout's arm strength is fine, it's his throwing accuracy that is not good enough.

    As much as it is true that Madson was a decent signing for the money, depending on him to be the closer at that point might not have been too smart. Dipoto has had trouble with the pitching staff and this is just another example. You can cut him slack for one move here or there but Madson, Burnett, Hanson, Blanton. Too many poor moves.

    I remember in 2011 he had a two home run game against a Seattle scrub and later on in the game he was up with the bases loaded and worked a walk. Seeing that blew my mind as any other 19 year old would be trying to get that 3rd home run and swinging at anything close.

    I doubt he plays well at 3B but we need some entertainment so for that factor alone, do it!

    Rosenthal and Passan just said that the Angels are listening to offers on player like Aybar and Kendrick and many more. We'll see if anything actually happens.

    Vernon Wells did play 3rd base for one inning in a one run game and even made a play 5-3 to help preserve a victory.

    If Pujols is not DL's, they should DFA Hawpe but I won't hold my breath.

    Actually in 02, Scioscia rarely made switches like this because his only lefty relievers were Schoeneweis and Dennis Cook. Also helped that guys like Donnelly and Weber did well against lefties.

    He won't be able to do anything, local and national party said he should step down and no one is going to want to be seen with Filner. San Diego PD has had to set up a hotline just for the mayor. Shows how complex people are, dude was a Freedom Rider and yet still wants to play grabass with women at the age of 70. He just needs to go away.

    Yup, I have heard about it and he needs to resign now. When seven women accuse you of harassment, something is wrong. As to why he isn't, it's probably because this job was to cap his career after his two decades in Congress. The amazing thing is that he has probably been a creep for a long time so where are the stories of his days in Congress?
