My wife and I had a great time at the dinner. It was awesome to meet you Chuck! Also very cool to meet some of the players, get some stuff signed, and take some photos. We were both very impressed with how candid Jerry was and he really pumped me up for the season.
The Tim Mead talk on Sunday was equally awesome! I loved how he answered the fans honestly and even poked fun at Buttercup. BP was fantastic. It was great to see the guys out there having fun and goofing around with each other.
We are driving home right now, and I'm already looking forward to next year.

Oh I know, but he is better than Capauno and younger. Would be a great back end guy behind Richards/Santiago and he'd have to battle Skaggs for #5.

Awesome piece. Completely agree with you from the teaching angle. I really enjoy this time of the year, when I'm able to begin to talk baseball with some of my students.

Saunders isn't great or even that good, but I will certainly feel better with him as insurance over Blanton.

It's just crazy that we get all worked up over Scioscia wanting to work out Ibanez at those positions during games that don't count just for insurance purposes. Do you all forget that Juan Rivera played an inning at 2nd base for us one game. It is a long season, we might as well get him a little more work that just grabbing a bat.

Scioscia comes into ST in mid-season form.

I am new to the site, but is there a way to set this up as a game? We could have members guess the game/at bat in which he hits 500, only one person per game/at bat combo (i.e. the first person to post May 13th/3rd at bat is in, the second person to post that combo is invalid), locks before the season starts.

I'm an Angels fan by birth, so you can say that I've been a fan since 1984. It was honestly in 1993 when I became a real fan and it is all thanks to Mr. Angel himself, Tim Salmon. I remember as a kid how much excitement was around that rookie kid. He shortly became my favorite player and I've been a fan of the Angels ever since. 

I'm cool with anything in the Orange County area, as long as they don't go to LA, though I'd prefer they stay in Anaheim.

The Mrs got the invoice today and we are all set!

My wife and I just filled out the registration forms and are just waiting for the email. We are both excited about meeting everyone and having a good time.
