Care to elborate? I am venting but its seriously. Something caused every single pitcher to regress from last year to this year. Estevez and Barria were excellent in the first half. Why did they fall apart in 2nd half.

Seriously, the reason for the regression of our starters from last year to this year and the regression of our relievers from 1st half to 2nd has one of the franchises priorities!

I also want to know what the hell did the Angels do to have every single starting pitcher to regress from ladt year! What happened that has gotten Estevez to pitch so badly in 2nd half! In fact the entire pitching staff has sucked the 2nd half.

What in Gods name did Barria do to go from one of their better pitchers in the first half to be this bad. He has been trash this entire second half.

1. Re-sign Ohtani. Its likely he moves on but still possible and the direction of the team should depend on this. If Ohtani signs elswhere, its time for full rebuild. 2. Get rid of the sabremetrics that dictate game time decisions. I think they are great in signing new prospects, scouting, and strategy. However game time tactics should be decided by the manager and the players. Let the pitchers call their own pitches. Let the manager make game time decisions he feel is best. 3. Develop/sign players that have speed and can make contact. I always felt the three outcome strategy of HR, walk, or strikeout was dumb. It may have had success when their were shifts but no more. Find guys who get on base and put the ball in play. 4. Improve situational hitting 5. I do not like the idea of signing a FOR starting pitcher. They cost too much money and never work in long term. Develop you own pitching 6. Finally develop a lock down bull pen. 7. No more signing superstars from other teams. I dont mind mega contracts for Trout and Ohtani. But no more Rendons and Pujols. Mega contracts for our home grown talent is fine because we have benefitted from their best years.
