  1. Thanks for confirming that RF is not a totally new position. I have seen players transition from infield to outfield, pitcher to outfield, just about every position to 1b. Sorry but i am not buying "he can't do it argument".
  2. Yes.....its the only logical answer
  3. Cool I am willing to bet after he recovers he plays a position other than DH. You go ahead and grab a Renfro, or Grichulk, or Adell. I prefer Ohtani over any of them. Lets wait and see who is right.
  4. Of course he is DH while he recovers from surgery. I am referring to the following years
  5. He played RF a few innings for the Angels and RF in Japan. Plus, Its not like he would be the first player to learn a new position.
  6. Why do so many people are so convinced he cant play any position but DH?
  7. Everyone says its stupid to sign an extension. You will make more money in FA. Sometimes the extension is smart move.
  8. He is famous for his venting. Quite entertaining.
  9. Each Seattle loss was lost in the late innings. I felt the team fought hard but had horrible luck. However after that series sweep it seems like they have lost a lot of heart.
  10. Who was the back up catcher in 2005. Santana struck out the batter to rnd the inning, but umpire ruled the ball hit the ground. The WS player ran to first and inning continued.
  11. I thought Nevin was the catcher that dropped the ball after the strike out. Who was that catcher?
  12. Wasn't he on the Angels team that lost to White Sox in the ALCS?
  13. A great coach once told me "Free their minds" they can't think too much. If they do they will second guess and fail to perform. It sounds like analytics are making them think too much.
  14. He has earned every dollar he has received and will recieve.... Troll!
  15. Maddon got fired because of two factors: 1. If was getting fired at end of year if he didn't make the playoffs. 2. Since he wasn't coming back, they could gamble on the firing spark the team to snap out of their funk. Like Phili last year.
  16. Maybe the most assinine comment in this boards history!!!!
  17. To be honest, the Seattle sweep after 4 heart breaking losses, the players seems to have have lost their fight.
  18. Agreed! Always loved his competitive fire as manager.
  19. This has easily been the most frustrating season for me as an Angel fan. Compounding that frustration was the loss of Lou. Although i don't believe I ever met him face to face, I respected his knowledge of Angel baseball and learned a lot from him. What impressed me most was his overall knowledge of sports. I remember when the board began posting comments in memorial of my father. I was so impressed of not only his knowledge of basketball, but he knew things about his Long Beach State tenure. Things that the average fan would not no. I will miss our discussions.
