sub trop for another (maybe rucinski we might be needing trop in the rotation this year. i would rather the trades be a little simpler and smaller this year...all but two of our offensive players are crappy and they need to wake up...i would hate to shoot our juice and we stay in the funk. if a trade was floated out there to clevland...it should be with attitude of take it or leave it as we can go somewhere else...but a big offer nevertheless to them

mlbtraderumors said HOU to be plays for Cueto over hamels...not interested in hamels for the money over the years? or maybe they think it will be too expensive? i think either one they are laying out someone good. with so many teams in the markets and dodgers...i think price is more the segura trade due to competition out there. glad we are not in the pitching chase this year.

ya maybe our name is floated in there to drive price up and keep other teams honest. there is no draft pick with these guys when they leave either. we do not need either of them.

if we keep it close maybe we force HOU to trade some of the up and comers from the minors for a hammels and the likes and this will help us long term.

when HOU tied the game yesterday being down 6runs i was pretty deflated...luckily NY got their heads out of their butts to finish them off. As shitty as we are...still battling to 500 with horrendous offense. today against felix i felt the only one who had a chance at a hit today was navarro...that is a sad state to be in. it seems since he has come up we are doing a little better. looks like cole is back on track...maybe his outburst against johnG has got his head out of his butt.

i would give up newcomb for schwarber...if cubs looking to fortify their rotation "this year" then might not be enough. they might need him to go get hammels if that is what they are looking for. i would not give both santiago and newcomb though unless they were kicking more into it.

it looked like we kinda stayed away the first at bat...still can't believe he didn't hit 2 bombs....what happened there.

i guess it will go back to what people think santiago is. i know this year for me he is the most trustworthy pitcher getting a start behind richards and even he has been suspect, but grinding things out like a wouldbe ace should. a whole year of this pitching should change some minds for him and if not we keep rolling with him...its going to be hard to knock him off the rotation. prospects are prospects...it took richards a while to get the hang of it. maybe he is Esantana to everyone else. i would prefer cj for ethier

yep...thats the way it works. angels looking for immediate impact bat....cubs looking for immediate impact pitcher. big laker fan and following the draft and trade talks now...its the same thing on both sides of kings and laker boards. i am getting sick to my stomach thinking they could take all three(2, clarkson and randall) when maybe all we need to do is just get aldridge and keep everything.

i did..i am ok with that as a delusional angel fan i am not giving santiago away. he is integral to our rotation right now...pitching great. so it would have to be something above average coming back. i am ok keeping him.

ya unfortunately i am an angel fan and not wanting to give players away...especially one doing well, that is left handed and low cost. it would have to be for something big to take him out of our rotation now. its not benR I would be ok with dodgers alexG santiago being the key player in trade with a minor leaguer or two in package.

nice post...funny i put his lines up against 2nd basemen every week to see how he is stacking up. Not too shabby. I think as his confidence increases he should even get a little better. cano - he makes a tad more .248 .321 .393 .714

Schwarber is a hitter without a position now...probably a year in minors away from below ave playable in the OF hammels comes with 20million attached to him per year. that is the positive to a santiago...controllable for next few years. i see gott doing well...but so do they. maybe they can take cam i am ready!!!!

santiago and small player should be able to get Schwarber, a dude with a long future. ask yourself what would it talke to pry santiago from us? its better from this angle. i am not sure cubs are contending either way now....so maybe not need this.

and equally important is the dude coming to the angels will take two full years to get to average at best....leave and become allstar level player. i really like santiago...even last year when he was on...he was a world beater before the wheels typically came off in the 4th. this year putting it together. if we trade him....its gotta be for a stud ready prospect or above average player now on the field as he himself is playing above average himself at a low cost.

pleasantly surprised by how well he pitched...a few more of these games and we have some real options ahead of us. our offense is so bad im a little leary of thinking a piece or two can change it. maybe we should have swapped out kendrick for gordon , but then we would not have johnG forget it.

johng has done ok....not that far off from howie stat wise.. heaney can have a start up here to see what he has...be good for him to see where he is at....i envisioned him a whole year basically at salt lake based on spring training though...he seemed far away from pitching a whole game and grinding out them out when necessary....which we know is often.
