Is losing a 2nd round draft pick and taking the risk on Snell turning into a pumpkin probably a bad decision? Yes

in addition to a rebuilt, most likely good bullpen. 
Does that rotation look a lot better than what we currently are projecting to run out there? also yes…. lol 
 

Montgomery wouldn’t cost anything other than money and wouldn’t put us over the tax so there’s honestly zero reason to say we shouldn’t sign him. Snell I get the argument but would still like him if it’s a 3-4 year deal with no opt outs. Those two guys have been and today are better than any pitcher we have on the roster so I’m in the mindset of getting better 🤷🏽‍♂️

All this talk of this year being a rebuild and seeing what we have in guys already on the roster but we gave Robert fking Stephenson $11mill a year ?? I don’t buy it, I know we aren’t one pitcher or one bat away from a title but doesn’t mean we can’t sign players to simply make us better and more competitive 

Agree. We really think Arte said, “Ok you have $30 million. That’s all.” And Perry said cool, all $30 on the bullpen and we’re going to spend 1/3 of our entire budget on Robert Stephenson.

Koralek still looks like poo poo, would not be surprised if Nick Jones steals his job 

No thanks to Andrus he’s cooked, unless there’s a small trade at some point I agree I think Adrianza is the first call up if there’s an injury. Which isn’t great but at this point in the off-season not much else in the FA pool would be a meaningful upgrade 

I’ve been shunned on here this winter for saying we should trade a starter if we signed Snell or Monty. But the FO and coaching staff have been pretty adamant about wanting to go back to a 5 man rotation (as they should). Also theres zero chance angels go into the year with a rotation of 4 lefties so someone has to go.
 
Detmers- has shown a lot of potential and still has several years of control, he’s not going anywhere.
Sandoval-same with potential but is a headcase on the mound at times and only has two years left of control.
Anderson-I think he can bounce back and have a decent year but unless we are eating most of, if not all of his salary he’s not going anywhere. I doubt Perry has the balls to say he's going to the bullpen as a long reliever/spot starter for $11mill a year
Someone’s got to go! Losing a guy like Sandoval would be a blow yes but if he can bring back a solid bat or even a couple mid level prospects let’s do it

I was only listening to the second half of the game on the dodgers broadcast and when meijia was in they made multiple comments about how poorly meijia was blocking and how he was setting himself up defensively behind the plate. I’d assume the angels were possibly on the fence about him and he didn’t do himself any favors yesterday. Good for them for moving on so quickly if that was the case
