  1. Bad news for AO, who has already shelled out buckets full of cash to trademark “Buterrible”
  2. I heard @Tank is having lunch with management tomorrow in this very subject.
  3. I agree; not saying it makes sense. [In my best Don LaFontaine voice] *Imagine a world ... where foul poles are red...*
  4. MLB instituted a universal ground rule this year that all yellow lines are in play. https://www.mlb.com/rangers/ballpark/ground-rules
  5. Way back on page 15 was my reference to blaming our pen. Sorry, it’s not you, it’s me. I’m extra salty about this loss. One would think that if a team made a mockery of the sport it wouldn’t continue to get the benefit of the doubt on calls but that’s apparently not the case.
  6. You win, you always do. You’re right, bad calls and my shitty math are the problem, not our stellar pen. Carry on.
  7. Touché. I was so fired up about losing a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the 7th that I blocked that extra inning out.
  8. We had a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the 9th. Trout, Rendon, umps didn’t cost us this game; our bullpen did. Again.
  9. Angels bringing back the "Rolaids Relief Man of the Year" since all these dudes give me heartburn.
  10. With our luck, we would release him and he would probably go on to provide hall of fame personal services to Stl.
  11. Damn, Orioles have a 0% chance of making the postseason. That's cold.
  12. The Osuna news is annoying, especially with Rosenthal still sitting out there.
  13. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/10/angels-considering-mike-butcher-for-pitching-coach-role.html
  14. I wouldn't mind adding Rosenthal. If we are talking about raising floors, adding depth to the pen could be a way to offset the lack of an "ace."
  15. Still holding out hope that this one falls through...c'mon Arte, this would be a good one to nix!
  16. I'm still holding out hope that there isn't a kernel of truth to this rumor.
  17. I'm trying to like this deal but I'm just not seeing it. Cobb is projected to throw 132 innings this year; his career highs are 29 games and 179 innings. Trading a prospect, albeit from an area of depth, and taking on cash for an average, injury prone pitcher doesn't seem to really fill a need for us. I would tend to think that this is a precursor to another move but have seen this movie far too often over the last few years.
  18. Let's just sign Odorizzi, Hand, and Mazara and get this over with.
