    Well, signing Blanton was obviously the wrong decision. LEtting Ervin go made sense...it's what they did after that didn't make sense

    There is no way any team would pick up Ervin's option last season after the year he had. I can't fault the Angels on this. He had an ERA above 5 last year....and it was nearly at 6 heading into August. Why on earth would anybody be willing to pick up a $13 million option on any pitcher after a season like that?

    The Halos face 2 lefties(Pettitte and Sabathia). No chance they win 2 of 3

    Worst case is they win 70-72 and best case they win 80-82, so I'll go right in the middle and say they win 76-78 games.

    Neither player will come around. Pujols is hurt and should be on the DL and Hamilton has the worst approach at the plate of any major leaguer
