I can't wait to draft some toolsy shortstop like Tim Beckham that flames out in AA while the teams drafting around us get a consistent major-league starter.

That's certainly the tone that comes across from the post. Why would Arte base his decisions on what a few people on a message board have to say? Fans are fans, there will always be a subset that complains. I seriously doubt someone gets to the top of the business world by being so insecure as to listen to some idiots. 

Yeah, it's the fans' fault. Arte is intentionally sabotaging the team to get back at the fans for whining. Makes sense.

Yeah because everyone on this board totally saw this coming. And by everyone I mean no one, because he was projected as a #4 starter at best when he was traded and no one batted any eye about losing Corbin when the trade happened. I don't get it, do we not scout opposing pitchers? Three starts against Norris this year already and they have not improved one single bit.

So yes. it is safe to say that Blanton does consistently get hit hard.

To be fair, Darvish would be walking 6 guys per 9 innings and have an ERA over 4 if he pitched for the Angels. 

This would only apply if we were facing him. 

It's not like we have any better options or any other guys in the pen that profile as closers. Coello is having a nice run, but it's over a very small sample size. I say stick with Frieri and replace him with the current hot hand in the bullpen if he struggles like he did today.

The point to take away from this is that we need more Asians.

Neither, because they'd both be struggling in the minors if they were still with the Angels. 

Todd Helton hit .372 in 2000. I remember him being around .390 late in the season and then going into a slump at the very end.
