What were your first reactions?
STLCardinalsFan replied to Lou E Ville's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
Move: Signing Pujols. Losing Pujols...I hated you guys for taking him. I hated the fact the Cardinals let the best hitter of our generation walk out the door. It did take me some time to see the Cardinals master plan brewing in the background. I am now quite happy he is off the Cardinals books. That allowed so many other players to be resigned and allowed more of our players from AAA to be brought up. Did I believe that he would ever crash and burn this hard this fast? No not in a million years. Move: Signing Wilson No feelings on this Move: Trading for Greinke I was happy that you guys took him off the Brewers roster. It made the Brewers less of a threat to the Cardinals. Move: Trading Santana I did hear about this one, but again it didn't concern me since we aren't playing the Angels on a regular basis. Move: Signing Blanton No feelings on this one Move: Dumping Haren No feelings on this one. Move: Trading for Hanson No feelings on this one. Move: Trading for Vargas No feelings on this one. . Move: Signing Hamilton After our victory over the Rangers in 2011 I was amazed at his Power and his ability to be almost like Pujols with monster homeruns and a worthy threat to the Cardinals. When you guys signed him I thought holy crap...how can anyone compete against the 1-2 punch of Pujols and Hamiliton. I figured we would be seeing you guys in the post season with us. Again (I blame the Marine layer haha) I would have never guess Hamilton would crash and burn as well. As I do watch an Angel game here and there to check out AP and crew it's very sad to see what predictable at bats both have. Pujols hard grounder to third or popout. Hamilton...well strike out....and I really feel bad for the Angels because they are now handcuffed by these two mammoth contacts for a long time. -
Why not Zoidberg indeed? He's a doctor!

Pujols and Hamilton Need the DL
STLCardinalsFan replied to HaloRed16's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
I'm thinking in that case he might need the 15 day DL as well. It does no good to have Hamilton and Pujols hitting while both are hurting like this. It's not helping the team at all. How long will this be allowed to go on? -
Pujols and Hamilton Need the DL
STLCardinalsFan replied to HaloRed16's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
I keep saying it Pujols needs to be on the minimum 15 day DL. He needs to get some rest for that foot because it's only going to get worse with him playing on it. I mean you only have what 8 more years of his contract? As for the great Ham-bino I almost wish he'd take some time at AAA and get this swing refined. Or at least take a golf club instead of a bat and he just might have more success when chasing those low balls. He has a mental thing going on and needs to get his confidence back. What is the worse thing that can happen? You win some games without them? -
This could be the worst season ever

To be honest with two titanic sized contracts Albert Pujols and Hambone...it might be a rough patch down the road for the Angels when they are expected to get more money. You've only just hit the iceberg....now the sinking process is starting... Fingers Crossed for you guys that they patch up the ship Or else it's a long journey to Davy Jones's locker. -
"You gotta tip to the Cubs. I mean the way they played us makes you wonder why they haven't won a world series in 103 years. You gotta tip your cap to their pitchers (who's ERA was 6+ but stats don't matter) and hold one second *answers cell phone* So the buffet is still open alright I'll be right there *hangs up* any who I hate to have to wrap this up but we are going to need to have another closed door meeting this evening. It's time to turn the page on this series and focus on our next series"

Ohs No!!! The dreaded closed door meeting!!!
STLCardinalsFan replied to Docwaukee's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
So where did they order their takeout from for this meeting? And more importantly whose turn was it to pay? -
Not gonna lie. I fear for your chances against the Cubbies.... I would like the Angels to destroy them....so they can return once more to the basement where they crept out of. Don't let me down!

Someone needs to walk the plank!
STLCardinalsFan replied to Ohtaniland's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
The team leaders need to come out and say something or light a fire under a few rear ends to get them back in the game. Sir Swings A Lot (Hamilton) needs to do something to get his head back in the game. A decision needs to be made in regarding Ghost Pujols. It's time for the DL it's bad when the AAAstros pitchers with ERAS of 4+ do not fear you. Obviously his foot his causing more problems then he is letting on. Pujols needs to be the bigger person here and realize he is doing more harm then good in the lineup (sure he gets a base hit or scores some runs but he's not the Pujols that us Cardinals fans were spoiled with) sit a couple out...what is the worse thing that can happen at this point? You lose a few more games? We knew he would eventually start to fall (stat wise) I just can't believe his fall would be so quickly... -

These are Dark times when I see the AAAstros are on the verge of sweeping the Angels. So my question is when do the Angels stop giving away freebies? -

Catch Fire? Isn't that an all you can eat buffet that MS likes to go visit after he is done turning pages and tipping his cap? Someone should look into this.... -
Anyone else think this was a good loss?
STLCardinalsFan replied to Troutipoo27's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
I don't know if there is such a thing as a good loss? That's the Cubs mindset! -
You know I used to think the Angels problem was pitching (and yes it is bad) but here is something I just thought of. Even if you had 5 pitchers who pitched lights out for you your offense still has to produce and score runs. Losing 1-0 2-0 2-1 3-2 still doesn't help. I couldn't even tell you where to begin on this problem. So many holes need to be filled and certain players need to step it up or go on the DL or AAA to get themselves back in the swing of things. All I know is that people need to be held accountable and heads need to roll or what are they waiting for? The Angels to be 15-20 games out of it?

You've got to be running out of pages to turn...surely you are near the end of this horror story.

Angelswin.com Enjoyment Factor
STLCardinalsFan replied to The God of Runs's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
I just don't even know what to say. I never thought the Angels would be just a few games above the AAstros. I mean at least you guys haven't hit Cubs low yet...on their forums they always talk about getting together and drinking Kool-Aid or something involving bungee jumping off bridges without the bungees. So at least you guys have that going for you. -
Curse you Norris! Back to the depths of he** that you emerged from! Sorry I was having flashbacks of him shutting down the Cardinals on multiple occasions
