  1. +10 MS or someone needs to step it up and make it happen. I don't think Pujols is going to sit himself he has too much pride (even if it does more damage to his own team)
  2. The force is strong with this thread. I offer my condolences RIP Angels 2013 Season April 5th 2013-May 8th, 2013 "The good Cursed always die young"
  3. If that is true then he is being selfish not to go on the DL for 15-30 days to get his foot back into shape.
  4. You just got to tip your cap to the opposing teams hitters...they can hit...
  5. Well the positives...if you sweep the AAAstros you will gain 3 games back. If you get swept (somehow)...well you are now tied with them for one of the worse records in baseball. I think the Angels will take 2 from the Stros
  6. Cardinals completed a 4 game sweep of the Brewers giving us more breathing room in the NL Central. Next up! The Cubbies!
  7. Eh I still like the Marine Layer theories... We might need to summon Mythbusters to check this out
  8. I just thought you guys wanted another view of Pujols from the STL side of things. http://interact.stltoday.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=952638 you have the fans who are interested in his career, others who are still mad that he left, others who just don't give a crap and finally those wanting his career to crash and burn. It makes for a good read for anyone who is interested.
  9. Pujols hit two jacks! That's gotta count for something!
  10. Cardinals got schooled 9-0 by the Pirates
  11. We are very fortunate to have a pretty awesome farm system. We have Kelly, Miller, Adams, Kozma, Rosenthal and Robinson currently playing as well as tons of backup down in AAA. We also have really good scouts and recruiting. We just recently (within the last couple of years) have invested more into Latin America and their players. The only problem is that the Cardinals don't have the payroll like the Angels or Yankees so some of our really good players we can't afford to keep around. Pujols for one and I did want Kyle Lohse to stick around one more season (due to the fact that we was hot last season), but when we lost Pujols we locked up some of other huge playmakers...Molina, Wainwright and offered extensions to Craig and Freese. The big debates going on with the Cardinals fanbase right now is the centerfield and shortstop positions. Kozma has been exceeding all expectations there so we will have to see if the trend continues but right now a lot of people are calling for us to trade Jon Jay and call up Oscar Tavaras (spelled wrong I think). We have a revolving door at closer right now since Motte is going to without a doubt need TJ surgery. Boggs has not gotten into his groove so we've been using Mucjia (again spelled wrong) in that position so we will see what happens there. The NL central is going to be a tight race between 4 of us..the Cubs are bottom dwellers and always will be the floor mat for the NL Central. Our big threats are the Reds and the Brewers who just caught fire (9-1 last ten games). The dark horse is the Pirates who can surprise you (in 2nd right now) and we play them this weekend and it looks to be a good series.
  12. You know what here is a better theory. AP and JH after the 2011 world series decided to both leave their current teams (2011 for AP and 2012 for JH) and find a team they could rob. See a little known fact about JH he is a sucker for legendary outlaws and bandits. He told AP join the team that offers you the most and I'll join you a year later and we will take them for all they have. We might be better outlaws then Bonnie and Clyde (because they aren't breaking any laws unless you consider dropping fly balls, forgetting how to run bases or just swinging at anything and everything that is thrown at them.) So after consulting the magic 8 ball...erm God...AP decided to join the Angels. JH decided to tank the Rangers chances of going to the WS last year and using it as a reason to leave, jumps ship to the Angels who welcomed him with open arms. It is rumored a text convo between the two went down like this... 2012 (April) AP: Hey Clyde...I just made bank from these chumps. I'm going to forget how to hit the ball and blame my kids and wife. JH: LOL that's a good one. 2012 Postseason AP: Playoffs overrated. I just wanted to work on my drive on the course. Hey Clyde I dare you to drop a flyball in the playoffs JH: LOL that would be classic Bonnie. I think I might just do that and blame the sun or lights or something. 2012 offseason AP: Clyde my man! I put in a good word for with the Angels front office. All is going according to plan. I think they said something like 6 years. Get ready for a phone call from Art. JH: Wicked. I think when I join them I'll act like I've never played baseball before. AP: OMG Yes! I'll go into a slump again early April they will never suspect a thing. Plus they don't even know I'm really 35 LOL JH: HAHAHA Gotta love the Dominican Republic and their no birth certs. 2013 (current) JH: All is going according to plan,,, AP: Money Money...Money...I think I'll keep this "injury" around for what do you say half the season? JH: If only Bonnie and Clyde were alive to see us now...we are the best robbers EVER and the best part...it is legal! AP: So wanna work on your golf swing this offseason? JH: Anything for you boo. There ya go!
  13. I still don't understand how AP isn't on the 15-DL right now. He is doing more harm then good right now and he should rest his foot while the season is still young. You don't want him to do something to make it worse next thing you know he is out for like a month or so. I don't know if AP is telling everyone to let him play because he feels "fine". He did that a lot too when he played for us. Or if MS is keeping him in hoping he catches fire. *shrug*
  14. Cardinals swept the Nationals! Last time we did that they were the Montreal Expos.
  15. Watch all seasons of the tv show LOST and learn to master a musical instrument. You might still have sometime after that...
  16. oh and Angels in the Outfield and Rookie of the Year.... forgot to add those in....oops.
  17. Wow I'm shocked they don't have the Sandlot on there. I'd go with these (ones that I've seen) Field of Dreams Sandlot League of their Own Major League Bad News Bears 42 The Natrual and Moneyball
  18. Hey I was happy my prediction came through for you guys. You did win the series against the Astros. You did have me worried for a second though.
  19. I'm hoping he gets more at bats. His plate displine has improved vastly since last season. When he gets of piece of it it reminds me of when Big Mac got a hold of one (minus the steroid usage) The Cardinals board are full of rumors that we might be looking to deal Jay (CF) for another SS if Kozma (who has been quite good) doesn't pan out. Time will tell on that one.
  20. Thanks the best to you guys too. I thought we were in trouble this year (losing Fucal, Chris Carp for the season and possibly Motte. Plus losing Lohse to the Brewers of the way of free agency) but right now we seem to be *knock on wood* holding steady right now. You guys owe me an Angels vs Cardinals world series....so do whatever needs to be done to make it happen!
  21. Thanks, I know it's a rough patch, but you have so much talent right now and it's mindblogging right now how it's not clicking right now. I didn't expect you guys to be shutout by the AAAstros. If I was a betting man I would have put money on the Angels to wipe the floor tonight. I still think Pujols should be hitting cleanup for you guys until Josh figures out how to play baseball again imho.
  22. I've been following the Angels since you got Pujols. Yes the Cardinals have a board and our game ended hours ago so I decided to watch the Angels game. I didn't realize I commited a crime or anything,
  23. I don't think your manager has much of a cap left to tip...I'm just sayin'
  24. That was a...ummmm...creative way to end the game...Don't think I've seen that before
