Jean Sagura shows Mike Trout how it's really done.
Maybe the Mariners would take a straight up swap?
-
Meanwhile, over in Los Angeles of Anaheim...

If Trout wins another MVP, I promise to buy my girlfriend a gym membership.

stop by a local high school with a few dozen new balls and trade out. They'll have a bucket of BP balls that are likely 'well used'.
OP MAKE SURE THE BALLS ARE MARKED WITH THE "NFHS" STAMP OR THEY CANNOT BE USED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like, this is terrific advice, but makes sure you have the right balls. Just check local Rawlings balls. Next season, we umps can't even start a game without them properly marked.

just buy new ones. used balls are gross dude
...What? Did you guys use pearls for practice back in high school? lol
-
I have five or six of them from umpiring earlier this year that I forgot to give back after Varsity games lying in my car lol
Dude, just buy some and rub dirt on them. Boom. Used balls.
*Insert joke about OP liking old balls here*

You guys lube up for Kershaw?

Matheny is a great choice, only if Canseco is unavailable.

No Ohtani? Ya, F*ck that.

He's a 30 year old power pitcher who's shown to still have some injury problems.
Despite what people in this thread have said, he's not young.
Why over-pay for a piticher that's going to decline soon?

That is one of the best interviews ever extracted from Trout.
Because he's talking to another really good baseball player that he can relate to. Not some reporter asking him a twelve part question about whether or not the team is going to win tomorrow.

Trigger warning: A-Rod interviewing.

This last one makes me want to go to church more.

I love how we're now using better teams rejects to compose our bullpen.
Island of Misfit Toys, but without the happy ending. -

Nice double play.

There we go!

They did it to the Angels once. So it's not impossible.

The key is going to be dominating them when we play them from here on out. Seattle has been good, but a lot of their success has been luck. They have managed to win a lot of close games, and their run differential says they have been waaaay over-preforming. If we can get close to them in the head-to-head games, that might play in our favor down the stretch (they are somewhat likely to cool down considerably). If we can't play them hard, the damage has been done, and even if they cool down it won't matter.
I'll be honest. All that seems like wishful thinking.
-
Didn't somebody the other day post the required records for us to catch Seattle?
And it was basically impossible.

If he was on the mound producing, we'd still be in the hunt. He actually saved this team from being and under .500. Too bad he's only played in about half our games.
He really does make this team so much better.
Super fun to watch.
