Nice moment for Cron.

The Angels are close to being pretty good though. And woe be on to any of you who dare disagree.

Terry and Langston are both shellshocked.
I don't see how that's possible since they watch this team every day.

@CaliAngel he can do stupid shit all day but he shouldn't be calling people names on here, sorry if you have a problem with that.
Hahahahahah excuse me if I roll my eyes. Me and my sissy panties or whatever it is you said.
-
I heard we were just a couple of players away from being good though.

Blows my mind that Blanton is somehow effective as a reliever. Sometimes baseball makes no sense.

exactly. he looks totally broken.
Dodgers are going to regret not trading him when they had he chance. Probably could have gotten a pretty decent haul for a guy that looks like he might not be long for the game.

I can't even with this story. What a magnificent bastard.
(and I do hope he's ok)

I'm sorry you feel shamed. Sorry you are sharing opinions that others have an issue with. Weird how you have an issue with it considering you're calling me out because you perceive me as doing exactly that.
By the way the beauty of this place is everyone is entitled to share their thoughts.
Amen to that last part, brother.
and no I don't personally feel shamed. After all this is a baseball fan board and I'm a grown man, but that sure seems to be the intent of a lot of the posters on here, unfortunately.
why don't we all just enjoy the team and the game of baseball in our own way, yeah?

@WallyWorld Would you and your bitchy little panties be less offended if I changed by word from clarification to understanding? I'm sorry I've persecuted you by asking a forum a question.
If I didn't think you were a dick before . . .

Which is exactly why I'm asking for clarification. If that makes me arrogant so be it. I think your opinion of me asking these questions is based on us disagreeing on subjects in the past, or you just think I'm a dick.
"Clarification" - yes, that is arrogant, having nothing to do with baseball or this board. Do you ask a transgender person to clarify why they're that way, or a minority to clarify why they feel persecuted? People have different worldviews, different experiences, etc - it's not all going to make sense to you and ffs it doesn't have to. Just accept that everyone is different. Sorry to get up on my own soapbox but the need to have people's preferences makes sense to YOU really rubs me the wrong way.
as for you being a dick, I don't know you so I wouldn't think that (though notti is certainly a dick, lol). But I suspect from your posts that you're an earnest guy and that you dislike cynicism. No harm in that. But I think you too often confuse pragmatism/realism with cynicism, when reality isn't to your liking. Just my take based on your posts on here.

No what I was getting at is how do you get pleasure out of something where in your mind is awful? Not only awful but where the season is over after 40 games. I don't care if you enjoy it like I do. I don't care if you don't have patience. But when the people I'm referring to seem to be miserable how is that enjoyable? Is it they aren't as miserable as the words they type and this is where the vent? I'm looking for a conversation and I'm not trying to be condescending.
Then it's an ideological difference between you and me. I don't believe that all the reasons people do certain things or enjoy certain things have to, or even could, make sense to me. I think that's incredibly arrogant on your part.
and while I'll take you at your word as to the intent of your original post, I hope you can see how that come come off like baiting.
-
And I'll add that while I don't consider you a troll, Strad - far from it - this thread is the definition of trolling.
-
Well I'm sorry, Strad, but the whole premise of your thread is incredibly condescending. "Explain to me how you can enjoy the game when you don't root for your team the same way I do"
it's also more than a little smug coming on the heels of a 4 game winning streak.

you say you want to have a "conversation" but I call bullshit. you sure sound like you've already made up your mind and this post is just an opportunity for you to try and shame the "failos", or basically anyone you feel doesn't measure up to you as a fan.
and for the record, i personally follow every game and try to watch when and where I can, though I would say given the state of the org they've slipped down my list of priorities to an extent. I wouldn't say that there's no hope this year, though I would say realistically the team doesn't have a great chance, and I don't see a lot to feel good about the next few years. However, the great thing about sports is that things can change quickly, which is why I'll continue to follow the team.
But feel free to look down on the rest of us from your soapbox, superfan.
-
at this point, any development like that of Cowart is the best possible news for this org and trumps most things that happen on the field for the big club. this org needs a few prospects to break through in a bad way.
-
It'd almost be worth Salas blowing it just to see this place go ape-shit.

What happened to Morin?
-
This will go down as a W if Pujols manages to not hit into a game ending GIDP.

Smith holds on in 26 pitches. Still 6-5 Mariners. Who closes if we somehow get a lead?
Morin i would assume
-
Wow thought they had him.
-
Relievers usually have short windows in which they're really good. I think Joe Smith's may have closed.

You knew we weren't going to make it out of this series without Iannetta homering.

They're here and they'll be here the other 364 days of the year when CJ Cron is a not so good player.
i know it might seem crazy, but some of us are able to hold these two thoughts in our head simultaneously:
"way to go, CJ, that's a great game."
"CJ Cron is a shitty baseball player"
