    Total hearsay, but interesting enough... Was just a Trader Joe's, overheard a Marine speaking to an employee there. He said there's massive dissension in the Corps over Trump (that part, I can believe), and so many in the Corps are fighting each other over this ideologically, he speculated it could turn physical

    I should clarify, I don't mean by personal interaction by the candidate, per se, but their election team. See the bit in the article on tailored digital messages to individuals, by geolocation, personality, etc. These guys are becoming savvy at thinking like digital marketers, and as someone in that industry, that unnerves me.

    Some voted for the POTUS to have a Johnson, some didn't.

    That's my point, though. And I think Obama was just as wired in. The real impact is showing how individual that each of these messages will be going forward, rather than traditional mass media.

    I think this helps explain his seemingly haphazard deliveries and subjects that he flitters to. And I think it will guide how the rest of these 4 (maybe 8) years go. Unfortunately, I think it also proves how truly fucked we are going forward. For the Con side smiling? Just imagine this, data, marketing tactics, and message delivery, in the hands of someone charismatic, like Bill Clinton or Obama. /rant

    That whole speech would have easily been summed up as, "Thanks for being here, I like black people, and F-you press." I used to catch shit from professors by not getting to the point quick enough, and this guy makes a living at it.

    And they all play a game of, "Well, they did it first!" Disgusting. The problem, I think is obvious, is that the federal employees just doing a job get cleared out (see: State Department), while the ones who really need to be "drained form the swamp" keep pulling this shit and screwing over the voters, while they keep getting re-elected.
