Well, thats the thing. If you just lurk the baseball threads here, youll go crazy with this team. You have to contribute, mainly in the hangout threads. We talk about dongs, daily recipes, and photography. Head there when nights like tonight happen.

I disagree. Putting the youngster in a high pressure situation was a bad call. No other way around it.

Do you think if Middleton came in with a clean slate in the 6th, he would have fared better? I do. Much less pressure. Parker and Bedrosian should pitch the 8th and 9th. Come on now.

I've been here as a lurker for a long time. Maybe it's the 3 grand slam walk off losses that has me a little agitated.

Middleton has given up 8 home runs in 40 innings. Bring him in when the situation is tense....and on a night when the ball is flying out. There's honestly no excuse for it.

It's a case where that Jepsen for Joyce trade is really biting us in the butt.

jonickell25 got a reaction from Chris in Sending Salas to pitch in the 9th
Rasmus, Gott. Salas has proven he is terrible in close game situations. Matter of fact, I'd even take Bedrosian over him. Bring him up and DFA Salas. But first, I would've put Shoemaker out there one more inning the way he mowed throught the astros 1,2,3 in the 7th. Then throw Smith out there in the 9th. Still have to score runs though.

jonickell25 got a reaction from Second Base in Congratulation to Mike Morin
What matters is the end result. Maddux and Glavine made a living throwing strikes that were 6 inches off of the plate. We won. Thank God we did, because putting Jeppy in was a terrible decision.
