  1. Can you think of a hard thrower who had a 14-season-long stretch of sustained mediocrity or worse in the minors and majors who then had a good 2-3 years in the majors? I can't think of anyone off the top of my head. Maybe a comp exists, but I'm having a hard time coming up with one. Brendan Donnelly comes to mind.
  2. Regarding Joey Bart, I’d at least see what the price would be. A good number 2-3 catcher would be nice.
  3. Do it. Try to get him to add another arm, but I like Pepiot.
  4. I’d rather we offer Turner. Better hitter, longer track record. And, if he does regress, he’d make a great coach, IMO.
  5. With Ohtani gone, we can’t trade Drury unless more offense is coming back. IMO, we should be in on Bellinger, Hader, Snell, Yamamoto, and if we add a DH, Turner.
  6. Is Stroman’s agent posting here? If there is ever a pitcher who is going to regress, he’s the one. Stroman is going to need a huge offensive team behind him. So, Toronto.
  7. Thanksgiving week, 1976. We signed Joe Rudi, then Don Baylor. I thought Gene Autry was tapped out, but two days later, he signed Bobby Grich. Man, I was absolutely stoked.
  8. Thursday’s Games 12/14 LA Chargers @ Las Vegas Saturday's Games 12/16 Minnesota @ Cincinnati Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis Denver @ Detroit Sunday's games 12/17 Chicago @ Cleveland Tampa @ Green Bay Houston @ Tennessee NY Jets @ Miami Kansas City @ New England NY Giants @ New Orleans Atlanta @ Carolina Washington @ LA Rams San Francisco @ Arizona Dallas @ Buffalo Baltimore @ Jacksonville Monday Night Football 12/18 Philadelphia @ Seattle
  9. Bellinger, Yamamoto, Hader, Turner. Trade Anderson/Sandoval for whatever depth pieces we need. Angels reloaded.
  10. So White and Thomas go to Salt Lake as depth pieces. At one point, White was a first round pick, and he's had some injury problems the last 4 seasons. So, it's possible we either acquired a cheaper version of Rendon, or the next Moniak.
  11. Did Atlanta throw in any $$$ to offset White's deal? In any case, the Angels saved somewhere between 4.5 and 7 mil, which they can use to try to sign a player that can provide more help than Fletcher and Stassi.
  12. Because he's an average fielder, like Baylor was.
  13. Poetic justice would be Ohtani leaving, and the Jays finishing fourth, behind the Yankees, Rays and Orioles. The Angels finish with a better record than the Jays, because Trout and Rendon have great years around our young core. Jo Adell becomes the next Don Baylor.
  14. I think it depends on their health. If both are healthy, IMO, they start the season with the Angels.
  15. I am aware of this. My point is that Vlad Jr. is a great hitter, but a defensive liability anywhere in the field, 1B included.
  16. I don't think Ohtani goes to Toronto because of Vlad Jr. Lil Vlad is a DH waiting to happen. And they still have to pay him, along with Bichette. I think he comes back to the Angels
  17. Do we really need to draft another SS? At 8, we can't get a near ready starting pitcher with upside?
  18. Thursday 12/7 New England @ Pittsburgh Sunday 12/10 Tampa Bay @ Atlanta Detroit @ Chicago Indianapolis @ Cincinnati Jacksonville @ Cleveland Carolina @ New Orleans Houston @ NY Jets LA Rams @ Baltimore Minnesota @ Las Vegas Seattle @ San Francisco Buffalo @ Kansas City Denver @ LA Chargers Philadelphia @ Dallas Monday 12/11 Tennessee @ Miami Green Bay @ NY Giants
  19. A talented player with no compensation issues attached. Yes.
  20. I believe Ohtani will stay on the West Coast. So, Angels, Dodgers, Giants. I believe he'll stay.
  21. You read it would take Sandoval, Caden Dana, and Nelson Rada from Halos Hangout. Give credit to the source, please.
