  1. @MaryMargOlohan @benshapiro Can we put the people who watch this show on a government watch list for pedophilia. Disturbing.

  2. @beyondreasdoubt Their products are made in China by sweat shop workers for pennies and then sell at their stores f… https://t.co/ZDef4Qu1YH

  3. I remember when I used to have season tickets. Sending them via email was pretty easy as was selling them. Also could just print them as well if I somehow lost the ticket somewhere. Probably an added hassle for some and an added bonus for others who don't want to have to keep physical copies of things around like me.
  4. I voted D for the simple fact that this team isn't as good as I thought they would be. Do I think he is the reason for the poor year? No not entirely. Do I think he's made some very questionable decisions that probably has cost them some games? Yes absolutely. I agree with Strad I think Mike S is still the best manager this team has had, say what you will about Mike, lasagna etc, but he always always always got more out of this team than the talent level hands down. Whatever the pythag standings had us at it always seemed that this team overachieved. The last couple years he was here the team just wasn't very good, but his management style always played well. I miss Mike and if he wanted to return to coaching, I would welcome him back to the Angels with open arms.
  5. The only thing about this season that I don't like is the amount of games and not being able to go to games. I absolutely love a universal DH and it's long overdue, having two sets of rules for the same game makes zero sense. I love the double header 7 inning games I find that fast and fun. I love adding more playoff teams, I dislike that baseball has less playoff teams than any other major sport. Doesn't make sense. The shortened season to 60 games is too few but it is a spring which I like, I think the sweet spot would be 100 games and of the 8 playoff teams per division each series needs to be at least 7 game series. Overall I love this little season it's a distraction from the 2020 that's going on in the world.
  6. I think Eppler is probably the hottest of the hot seats right now in terms of GMs in the league the Angels have to make the playoffs or at least have a winning record for Eppler to get any sort of extension.
  7. @RubinReport We’ve gone backwards as a people. Congrats.

  8. Rendon since his rough start has been a steady hand. Lucky to have that guy on the Angels manning the hot corner for years to come. If Trout stays like this which he is very capable and the Angels can make the playoffs, then yes definitely Trout can win another MVP. Would be awesome to see.
  9. Rendon is ahead of Trout in WAR. How could you not put Rendon in there?
  10. I’m not trying to hide anything. Right now he’s crushing it. He’s doing things he hasn’t done in Anaheim for at least a year or so. Do I hope it continues yes absolutely. Do I think it does no absolutely not. A good Upton helps the Angels in many ways though so I’m stoked on it.
  11. I will hold out hope for the both of ya. I was completely out a couple weeks ago. I don’t know why but I’m feeling different since the San Diego series. I thought this team would be a force and it’s starting to look that way. Hopefully it continues. Now that I’ve said all this though I’ve probably reversed jinxed them and they’ll go on a 10 game losing streak.
  12. Minor leaguers don’t have any control and their contracts are not negotiable. Where as Upton has negotiated his contract he’s also negotiated a no trade clause. To his benefit if he then doesn’t want to be traded then so be it. But no trade clauses aren’t all that uncommon and aren’t all that uncommon to be waived when said player is traded. It happens all the time. Players are just assets. The name calling seems a little weird. But hey if that’s where you need to go that’s fine it’s cute coming from the guy who is ok with minor leaguers getting paid below minimum wage because hey they’ll have a good story . Major leaguers once out of the ridiculous arbitration process are then free agents and can negotiate the terms of their contracts. I don’t know how you don’t see a difference between that and a minor leaguer who has zero control of their contracts and zero control of where they play. Which is why I argued that they be able to negotiate their contracts. Two entirely different things. If the minor leaguer or major leaguer are able to negotiate set terms to their liking then it is what it is after. Being for lack of a better term “forced” to sign as a minor leaguer with no negotiating power and no free market to an “under minimum wage” compared to a major leaguer who is finally a free agent. signing a contract that’s completely negotiable and agreed to in terms by them and said team. Upton even stipulated in the contract that he wanted a no trade clause and good on him. The Angels can’t trade him unless he waives it. I’m completely fine with that too. Maybe the Angels trade him. Maybe they don’t. But I think for the Angels long term it would be best if they could and he’d agree because it would help clear salary space for better players and would open the door to Marsh and he is the future not Upton.
  13. When I was a kid growing up in Orange County. My family are huge baseball fans came with the territory. I was an Angels fan and Kings fan until the Ducks arrived and then I said goodbye to the LA Kings and hello Ducks!
  14. I know these guys have lives. I don’t know what that has to do with anything. Athletes are assets plain and simple. He’s doing well right now. But I’d like to see his final numbers this year and where it plays out. Last year he wasn’t good. In my opinion and statistically speaking people don’t tend to get better the older they get. As of right now his line is 192 270 and 374. I hope he does better and crushes it the rest of his time here. Do I think that’s likely? Nope. But it could happen.
  15. Him getting hot and crushing it is awesome. Some team may be desperate for outfield/DH offense in the off season and want to trade for him. Which would help the Angels out immensely. Getting Marsh and Adell up with Trout would be incredible to help with payroll flexibility.
  16. This is the team I thought would be here the full season. They started off dreadful and no one can argue against that. But they’ve turned it on of late! Can we make a historic run and make the playoffs? Once you get in everything is wiped clean and it’s any ones game. What do you think AngelsWin faithful? I’m starting to believe it’s possible...
  17. Rengifo is not the future. But I don’t think Simmons is either unfortunately. Too expensive
  18. @CJAnthonyCUI Just slightly

  19. RT @MLB: Have you ever thought "I want to watch all 300 of @MikeTrout's HR swings in a 60-second span"?

    You're in luck! https://t.co/1MkZR…

  20. I agree they should be more like the NFL with the draft. But if you want a complete free market I believe that would be best. There’s more parity in MLB then NBA or the NFL with a more free market. But that’s beside the point. The NFL is the gold standard with the draft and how they do things. Especially with having an extra year for first rounders. The control MLB has over their prospects of 10 plus years is pretty ridiculous. I do think MLB and the players should have a revenue split agreed upon. The way wages have moved in the last 20 years in the MLB have been mind boggling. There’s some sort of control or collusion going on in the market. A Rod signed his huge deal in 2001 and we’ve barely surpassed it with a handful of people and its 2020.
  21. Nope Let me ask you two questions? Do you think the minor leaguers would be paid more if it was a free market? Do you think spending unlimited cash in free agency would win someone a championship every year?
