i don't see in-n-out ever doing that. for starbucks, if your hot coffee sits for a while, it doesn't change anything. but in-n-out's whole schtick is freshness, it's why they are so strict where they open locations as it has to be very close distance to the distribution centers. but if you order double double and fries, and it's sitting on a counter it will lose taste/warmth by the time you get there. sure it was a little more convenient, but it's just plain not as good. it's why they don't do delivery (or allow these gig workers / 3rd party cos deliver their stuff) - they want full control over the experience and quality.
