  1. Exactly Lou. It's like crickets around here when he makes a good move.
  2. Now is the time to get someone up in the bully.
  3. Had to get a guy warmed up.... Sheeeesh guys. The guy was cruising with 2 quick outs. Not the fault of Sosh. And Kole tripping over his own feet isn't the fault of Sosh either.
  4. Upton and Cron leaving a lot of runners on base in this game.
  5. Go back to when he first came up..... This board hated him in center because of his below average arm. Yes.... Below average is what was said.
  6. I thought everyone said that Trout has a below average arm??
  7. Yes. A 2014 Ford Explorer Limited. I have never lost consciousness while in it but I have complained to the dealer about a bad exhaust smell when I hit the gas hard to get my speed up quickly. They say others complain but have no fix. Nice knowing you all.
  8. My wife died of cancer and my son is serving in Afghanistan right now and just lost someone in his unit......I'm cool with recognizing both as are most people.
  9. To put cancer in the spotlight a couple of weekends a season for awareness sake.......I'm OK with it. For the last 6+ years I have thought about it daily.
  10. This thread reminds me of the "Stand up to Cancer " thread during the World Series. Everyone knows someone effected by cancer and more money is needed for research. Awareness is good. I actually like it. Threads like this are stupid.
  11. Espinosa .....0 for his last 33!! Yikes!!
  12. I flew Delta and got stuck in Nashville last week because of weather related delays and cancellations from a storm that went through Atlanta. They had to cancel 3200 flights because of the storms. The issue for us was that they didn't have any flight attendants for our flight. They gave my family of 4 a hotel for the night and $150 in food vouchers. The food vouchers were only good for restaurants in the airport and by this time it was late and the restaurants were closing. My wife went to Starbucks and cleaned them out of their snack food items. The hotel was just OK. We found an early flight out on American Airlines for the next morning and jumped on it. When we got home I called Delta and waited for 2 hours for them to answer. They refunded us our entire fare without hesitation. Today I received an email from Delta giving each of us a $200 voucher for the inconvenience. It maybe a PR move since this United drop and drag problem but I feel they handled it properly. I would fly Delta again for sure.
  13. I'm actually leaving for Nashville next Friday for work. I will be there for a week. I'm taking my wife and kids because they are on spring break. i have never been there but I am definitely looking forward to checking it out. I'm kinda bummed because my son is based at Fort Campbell Kentucky which is only 45 minutes away from Nashville. Unfortunately he is in Afghanistan right now.
  14. For 13 years used to have my late wife cut my hair with our clippers and a #1 attachment in our garage. When I met my new wife she said "I wonder what you would look like with hair. Well.......we were dating at the time so naturally I took that as a hint and grew my hair out. She had a lady that would come to the house and cut her kids hair son I soon jumped on that train. 4 years later.....I pay $15 and a $5 tip and I get my hair cut once a month by that same lady. The only thing that sucks.....I have to clean it up afterwards.
  15. This Clipper team is pretty good. They actually play defense and have a bench now that can hold a lead. Their big three minutes are down because they are blowing teams out and they get a lot of rest. Big test for them with OKC coming in tomorrow.
  16. I guess this is how I look at it. The tribute was a way to show that everyone knows someone that is affected by this terrible disease. Some know multiple people. When you put it on that grand of a stage.......people stop and reflect and say.....oh man, I know someone who is going through it now or has suffered the worst case scenario. My wife was 42 years young when she passed from one of the rarest cancers a female can get. The problem was there was not enough data and research on her type of cancer to get a proper path of treatment. Basically it was a shot in the dark that she would survive......and she didn't If Stand up to Cancer can bring awareness and raise money to get the research for other cancers........Put it on TV all day long!! Another thing......I don't care for October being "Breast Cancer Awareness Month". Make ALL cancer awareness month. I'm all for breast cancer awareness but it isn't the only cancer out there that need funds, research and awareness.
  17. Thanks AO. Sorry to hear about your Dad also.
  18. My wife died of cancer.........so yeah. I'm all for it. RIP Debbie.
  19. Cubs!!! My wife is a Chicago native and used to attend a lot of games at Wrigley so I must root for the Cubs.
  20. Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads here. I received an Amazon Echo from the family. It's pretty sweet. All around great day!!
  21. I think his hands were coming up to protect himself or shove Odor back. He had just been shoved backwards.
  22. IMO......Clean break up slide. Odor was a puss. He tried to hit him with the throw to 2nd and then the punch. Bautista wasn't "cocking" his fist back before the Odor punch landed. Definitely not a dirty slide though. That's how you are supposed to break up a DP.
