I hate the Mariners even more than the Asstros, ever since that brawl with Winker being a total doosh and that bitch Crawford taking a cheap shot, not to mention that stupid jig they do after a win. Plus Servais still has the most punchable face out there. I'd go with Rangers win West and Orioles win ALCS.
I HATE that stupid twirly jig and the HR harpoon. Seriously guys?

It IS kind of like Spring Training for some of the young guys and if they get some encouragement or even told they screwed up and what to do the next time, what is wrong with that? Usually they are in AA and AAA a few years and have lived this lifestyle awhile before coming up. I imagine at this point, Nevin just wants to turn this around to something positive anyway he can.

Hamilton for sure. Besides sucking, he didn't even try and acted like he could care less. CJ Wilson, right there too...acting like he was too good for the team. News flash: He wasn't. CJ who?

What is next....a no hitter that we lose?

This article could have been written years ago and brought back whenever a writer didn't want to put in the effort. Jeez it is what the pundits say every night. Great originality!

I can't imagine Ohtani ever coming back if he is traded to a NL team and misses his chance of winning his 2nd MVP.

If we are blowing it up and trading players that have value what good is a closer? Get what you can for a one inning guy.
But we aren't blowing it up...at least at this point.

Could've said that about the Angels back in December 2017, or after this season.
Just saying there are other teams who have better chances of making the playoffs every year than Seattle IF that was the biggest thing behind his decision. If that is the only consideration he has (and I don't think it is) we are toast (at this time at least). Hopefully we can step it up and get out of this funk.

Seattle with a great rotation with addition of Ohtani. His bat in lineup would also be big help. I feel Seattle is team on the rise.
We've been hearing about Seattle being a team on the rise for a long time. J-Rod is not yet duplicating his rookie year. Still a gamble of being a contender.

Not sure why he would pick Seattle...(Unless he really loves the city) it's not like they make the playoffs very often. You can't assume a team will always be a contender because they made the playoffs last year. I think we still have a chance if we become the competitive team we were earlier this year before the injuries. Yeah I know it is a big IF.

Funny the difference a few weeks makes. You are never going to win unless the infield defense improves.
-
Yeah didn't realize Soto was such a dick before this series!

I doubt that this conversation would even be taking place if the Angels had won even 1 of the 3 games against the Marlins. At least this year as I am watching a game and they are losing at any point, I am not surprised that they do have a good chance of coming back. They are much more competitive and fun to watch this year (of course the worst and most frustrating thing is the many errors).

Wow, Passan...what a unique position that NO ONE has been saying but you. Way to put yourself out there with your shocking opinion.

1995 for sure! - Freefalling at the end and not even making the playoffs. Took a break after that.

Savor the good times...hopefully it will last for more than 1 day! Nice to remember how winning feels.

I hate the philosophy of let's have a fire sale when we are not going to be making the playoffs.....especially giving away pitching we will need next year (and hopefully to build SOME momentum the rest of the year). Sure there are some contracts that make sense but it's not like we should get rid of good players just to help playoff teams.

Will you still root for shohei?

I do agree with this but I dont wish him ill will. His best years may be what he has already accomplished which is A LOT. He doesnt look as good in Dodger blue as Angel red (just saying). The only time I will root for him and the Dodgers is when they are playing an AL West team or AL Wild Card team. Definitely enjoyed him while he was here. I don't think the criticism is necessarily fair that the Angels didnt match the offer...not too many teams could or should.
