  1. I wonder if Sosh is simply inept at times (like Boesch) or if he is acting on instructions from Jerry and or Arte.
  2. So Boesch performed well in AAA. I was an allstar in LL. Can I DH Sosh?
  3. Freese drove in 4th run and set up winning run with double ninth. Bring it David!
  4. If not Freese ( whom I still like); why not Green or Beckham? Not McDonald .159 or Boesch .121. AND why not Ianetta instead of Conger?
  5. Have no fears as we have the offensive powerhouse (Boesch and Beckham) to lift us!
  6. On behalf of the Halos players (reading their collective minds), I want to thank the fans who fill the seats and hang in thru the bad days and good days. Sure, we are more critical when team is losing. And Arte thanks us for helping his overhead.
  7. Interesting stats. More important to me is a stat that can't be measured. "CHEMISTRY" and "MOMENTUM" Oakland had it early in the season and it migrated South. Players, coaches, trainers, staff, fans, etc: Enjoy your day off and pick up where we left off Tuesday
  8. I did not see game today. I have seen posts that Trout is getting (some) bad ball/strike calls. What do you guys/girls think? Also, what did you think about the calls in the second inning today? Was Melvin justified/frustrated/wanting a shower....? Besides seeing pigs fly, try and be objective in your response and keep it going Halos!
  9. Sweep A's at home and later in Oakland. NO PS at all for them! The A's team chemistry that all the media went batty over earlier this season has went South for the coming PS!
  10. NOT to worry. We'll be rained out tomorrow.
  11. Bipolar?? I would like to understand Scosh's usage of sub par offensive players like Ibanez (gone now), McDonald, Boesch and now Beckham.
  12. Not too long ago we found ourselves wondering if the A's were ever going to lose again. Bazinga.....tables have turned. Back then the A's were getting heaps of media attention talking about their chemistry and fraternity-like clubhouse. I haven't seen anything similar in comparison (quantity or quality) about our Halos.
  13. If Hamilton whiffs 3 times at cleanup, we'll see Boesch there. BB is not a project. He has been around baseball for years. Cowgill and/or Navarro could likely have a future with the Angels or as trade bait which IMO in not true of Boesch.
  14. laagamer-try and close the blinds while dancing around the house..so you'll still be there to dance at the WS at the BigA
  15. Boesch costs us less $$ than Hamilton when he strikes out.
  16. UndertheHalo is right about his interpretation of the interview/article. Why even say whatever he said? Keep it in the locker room. It's like telling your girl/wife in public that her clothes are bulging in the wrong places!
  17. Defense has had its share of problems as well. With all of this, look at where we are in the standings.
  18. Has there ever been a de-escalation clause in a contract if someone falls below (and how much below) career averages? There certainly are incentives. Union may bar such. And it would inhibit signing FA's unless there was conformity.
  19. Boesch is 0 for 3 tonight ; 2 whiffs and a foul out. tdawg--Wrap your brain around this: Which Oakland pitcher do you imagine in the remaining 10 games vs. Angels will be about to wet his pants when Mcdonald or Boesch steps up to the plate!!
  20. ANY at bats are too much! Opposing pitchers drool . Boesch's career nos. are unimpressive. Same for McDonald. Ibanez was a good pick up but proved to be over the hill after too many at bats. There have to be better threats on the bench or in our farm. Let our talent develop. You do not see the numbers with contenders!
