  1. Man, this whole home series vs. Oakland has been ugly from our perspective. And I just know that the A's are going to go something like 16-2 vs. the Astros -- add a 11-7 record or so vs. us and the A's are the Wild Card.
  2. Can someone follow up with this gal and if her story checks out -- and I have no reason to believe it wouldn't -- can we get her an audience with Tim Mead or something -- this should not be happening to any fan, but particularly long time Halos fan with season tix. This is not the fan friendly Angels I know and if it's happening needs to be responded to NOW.
  3. If this gal's story is anywhere close to accurate. perhaps Angelswin.com should file an official complaint backing her up. If this is what happened to her , it's just plain ridiculous.
  4. Jaso jack. 3 run shot off Jepsen -- Oakland 7, Halos 5. Ugly start, ugly come-back to lead and ugly blown relief effort........
  5. thanks for Laker update. another final -- OKC 90, Utah 80......means Lakers back in 8th spot. Barely.
  6. heck no.........Rojas -- no one is going to re-transmit this game -- it's awful on both sides....
  7. strike three! OK Downs -- let's get through this inning. we can win this one ugly......
  8. Apparently, someone figured out it's the Halos home opener and that the Angels are supposed to win......
  9. No. Angels likely made right decision there -- could have handled it better. Congrats Torii. Will always root for Torii Hunter. Good ballplayer, good guy, class act.
  10. Weaver out 4 to 6 weeks, whatever it is......... CJ WIlson gives up three runs with two outs in first inning in home opener. We strand runners and manage to go from three on, none out to three outs, none in in the bottom of the first. A's hit one out to start the second...... Our announcers Rojas/ Gubi now talking about putting up zeroes from here on out and pecking away at lead (it could happen) and the LA Kings down 5 to 1 in the 3rd to Dallas. ALL IN ALL A HORRIBLE EVENING SO FAR........
  11. Good stuff.. On Friday, April 19th the Angels host the Detroit Tigers. Torii Hunter's return to Anaheim. Perhaps the Angelswin.com folks could organize a return of the TORIITOWN section for his return. It could be inter-changed with TROUT-TOWN for sure, but I think it would demonstrate the class of Angels fans....... and the fact that Torii's a great ballplayer, did well for us and this organization and is still a great guy even if he's in another uni.
  12. "I wonder what their ticket prices are?" One can only imagine what the scalpers are getting -- if there are any outside the park. I can just see this scenario, though, that reminds me of years ago when I was going to school in San Diego -- my sister and her (then) young son (he's 40 or something like that now) -- we were at a Padres game -- this was a few years after they joined the league as an expansion team (guys like Ozzie Smith and Dave Winfield were on the team, though!) -- being all broke back then, we got cheap seats (must have been $5 or $6 back then, perhaps less).......place is empty. They're playing Montreal, the other expansion team. San Diego Stadium (before it became Jack Murphy Stadium and the Qual Com or whatever it's called now).......place was also home to SDSU Aztecs (they used to out-draw the Chargers back then)..........anyway, mid-week night game a throng of about 7,000 (maybe) 'packed' into a stadium that seats 65.000 or more........we're in cheap seats, my nephew is 5 or 6, something like that --- we move through the empty rows and rows and rows of seats to better seats (still the same level -- not like we're going from nose-bleed to behind the dugout) --- the usher sees us and makes us go back to our original seats......... My sister, who has always been a bit sassy, says "hey, you should pay us for being here' Usher guy in those ridiculous usher uni's (like the ones they still wear at the Big A, but these were in those hideous more yellow than gold and brown colors, was not amused but didn't really care either. I can see the same scene being played out at Florida's ballpark on opening day.........yeah, fans, we love ya........
  13. I'd pick the Carolina's over Portland......for some reason, I just don't think baseball above the AAA level would do very well in Portland......not really a baseball town. In Charlotte, I think it would go real well. I think San Antonio is a great city, but as Josh Hamilton says, Texas is a football state.
  14. I like Bourjos in the ninth spot -- gives you an extra 'lead off' guy later in the game. I like Trout in the lead-off spot. He's going to hit. Used to be that you put your best hitter up first to get the most ABs. That's Trout. If Pujols can't run well (and he can't apparently), either keep him where he's at or move him down to 6th or something and give him every fourth day off until his foot gets better, This team is going to hit. What's the situation with Weaver? I am more concerned about the rotation than our hitters. The pen has pitched pretty well -- perhaps not Downs and now the late arriving Lowe, but overall they've done well. Jerome Williams pitched two effective innings Sunday (after the game was pretty much over).
  15. And is that the NEW ballpark? WOW. That's pathetic. Where can they move to? Montreal?
  16. Bernier did not stop one of the three shootout tries..........OUCH. Kings dominated most of the game.....even the OT period where it was four on four and more even -- but then they lose the shootout without a stop.........OUCH. So do you look at the OT loss point you got or the one that really got away???
  17. Kings outplayed the Ducks most of today's game..........now about to lose the shoot out. Our goalies -- both Quick and Bernier have had their troubles with shoot out stuff lately.
  18. SHOOT OUT TIME at the HONDA CENTER............GO KINGS!! Kings want to do an outdoors game at Dodger Stadium next year, perhaps against the Ducks. C'mon, City of Anaheim, step up -- Kings vs. Ducks at Angels Stadium.
  19. Thought Hall was on his way to making the team out of ST when he went down with an injury. Brendan Harris got the roster spot that probably would have gone to Hall and still might at some point. Hall sounds like he's a month or two away.
