Game over. Angels hitters strike out 15 times. Awful.
Low point of the season right after a high point. This team will ruin my sanity.
Blue Jays just knocked out one of our better players too, possibly a career ending thing. Or very career altering.
I suddenly hate the fuck out of this Toronto squad.

Tyler Anderson pitches tomorrow. Good chance the Jays score 7+ runs, though in Angels like fashion, that'll probably be the game where the offense finally does show up and they score 7-8 runs after doing nothing at the plate these first 2 games
I believe you.

I'm so fucking disgusted. Every coach needs to be replaced in the offseason. New mentality. No more launch angle.

If they get swept, they should strongly consider reversing course and selling. Screw it, we aren't going to come back from 6 games back which is really 7 since Toronto would have the tie breaker. And everyone keeps getting hurt. What a difference one series makes.
Agree. Trade Ohtani after the game. Literally no reason to give a fuck about this team for the rest of the season now.

Jays hitting a 2 run HR this inning now after another bases loaded failure feels like a very Angels like result now
good job.

What did Detmers do to deserve this lack of support all season?
Canning usually gets like 7 runs. It's crazy.
Whenever I watch baseball with my dad we revisit the debate on how much do starting pitcher win-loss records matter. He's old school, grew up idolizing Koufax, and to him any pitcher that doesn't get at least 15 wins in a season is awful.

I don't know how the "Cy ___" humor started, but Manoah finished 3rd in Cy Young voting last year. He's a good pitcher with bad numbers this season. Something a lot of fans can't seem to wrap their head around.

Do they need to swing for the fences every AB?

This is what happens when trying to play through injuries. Just creates more injuries in the body from overcompensation.
-
Amazing how often this "top AL offense" "4th in OPS" doesn't score runs when they need to. But they're really good at tacking on when they have a big lead already.

Moniak just a platoon guy that happens to be hitting over .330 still because he's been put in easy situations 100% of the time.

Talking to the players while they are fielding is weird and I don't care for it.
It should only be allowed in the ASG. Sadly, I think it's the future of MLB broadcasts. Such a Gen Z thing. "What if we could hear from the players WHILE they're on the field?!?"

Whatever team does sign Ohtani will also need to adjust their rotation to allow him to pitch every six (or possibly seven) days. I do not think it is in his or the teams best interest to have him in a five man rotation.
So the question will be, how open are the other starters on the team to accommodating this schedule change.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Good point. I think that also gives the Angels an advantage to re-sign him, given that our rotation is already structured this way.

Blackout restrictions are a cute feature of late-stage capitalism.
I use the features available to me, whether ethical or not, (regarding watching illicit streams), since it's not as though the world around us is ethical. I literally don't care that I steal baseball game viewership when the implementation of MLB.tv is the greediest thing ever.

Quero Quero. Remember Jesus Montero, the next great Yankee HOF catcher? What happened?
They traded Quero as he's still 20 and possibly at the peak of his value. He was not close to helping the Angels.
We already have Logan O'Hoppe.
Too many people losing their mind over trading this total unknown of a catcher.

I’m in Chicago so I have the MLB package. I should get all of the Angels games that aren’t against the White Sox or Cubs, but now I see for this huge 3 game series w the Jays, I only will get the Saturday game.
I also like to listen on the radio thru Apple Music. I guess that will be my plan for Sunday’s game.
That's unfortunate. Until they fix the issue with MLBtv blacking out local games, I'd never invest in it. Most people live in the vicinity of the team they root for. Most people would purchase MLBtv because they don't pay for Cable. The fact that it blacks out local games is totally bunk and it's a no-brainer for most to not pay for it.
Plenty of streams out there so you don't need to compromise yourself. Have a malware blocker in your browser and you're good to go.

Yep 1-39. That’s a really great guy to have on your team when you are “All in”.
Yep, he's been on stretches of 1-39 the entire season, which is why his totals to date are 6 HR and a .198 average. I guess you missed April and May when he was hitting, helping the team, and providing good insurance after O'Hoppe went down.
You really are not very bright.

Moniak's first extra base hit this season off of a lefty followed by a 2 run bomb! Ohtani needs to give them at least 7 innings now, and hopefully 8!
Was it really off a lefty wow don't let Strad know.

Feast or famine offense. They only seem interested in driving the ball out of the park. Scioscia would lose his mind with this team.
