I know that while the "season is over" realistically, I would still love to see some good baseball down the stretch.
I think this upcoming series is a chance to capitalize on this suffering Rays team. Yeah, they're 73-50 but don't forget they started the season 13-0. Since the beginning of June they are a .500 team.
Wander Franco's MLB career is most likely over... I won't say any more on that cringe news. Needless to say Tampa is a suffering squad right now.
Let's take advantage and sweep this series. It would be really cool to see them play spoiler because I'd rather see the O's win that division. Then the Reds roll in and they aren't the hottest team either.
The offense is super due to start scoring more than 2 runs per game. Angels, please just show us fans some life these last 6 weeks.

It’s more understandable if he goes to LA, IMO.
Because he’d be living in the same climate, not moving that far, and be on a team that perennially wins.
You're suddenly talking about what would be more "understandable" when we were actually talking about what would sting the Angels fanbase the most. WAY different.
Of course it would be more understandable if he signed with the Dodgers over any other team besides the Angels. Very practical for him. It would also hurt a lot. If he went to Seattle or Texas or some east-coast team then it would be like an entire change of scenery for his career.

I’d be more upset about that than if he goes to the Dodgers.
Really. I feel like most Angels fans would be most upset about him going to the Dodgers out of any team. He wouldn't even need to change his residence. It would be a major slap in the face.
If he went to Seattle then at least you could point to things like he prefers living up there, likes the weather, etc.
-
Personally I have a hunch that he does one of two things:
1. Stays here
2. Signs with Seattle

Why are the bats so dogshit? Of course they're not adding on and keeping this game interesting. Are they suddenly going to click for their 30-10 run?

I know Seager is an Angels killer but Garcia is their best hitter isn’t he?
If all you look at is RBI.

Detmers is good when he wants to be. His 2-9 record isn’t his fault at all. He still needs work though.
Much of it is his fault.

Rangers broadcast blaming the no-hitter ending because in between innings Thaiss short-hopped a throw back to Detmers during warmup tosses.

He keeps mentioning what Det is currently doing.
Usually a faux pas, but, you know, this is the Angels we're watching...
Oh, gotcha. I'm watching a stream so I get the Rangers feed. I figured it was something like that. Detmers will either get it done or won't, I don't believe in unintelligent stuff like jynxs.

What did he say?

Are you saying you were temporarily put in time out AKA banned or are you claiming that Chuck has some kind of shadow ban mechanism on the forum.
Yes.

Why would he?
So the Angels pitcher can immediately give the runs back with a couple lead off walks and a homer?
Because it looked like he was going to make a run at 63 HR, but it appears that dream is over.

What do you mean “put on silent” ?

Watch it pal, Strad's never wrong.
Even if you're right, he'll call you names.
And that will probably hurt your feelings.
I was already put on silence for a week recently for calling him names back. I'm not emotionally invested enough in AngelsWin to actually get my feelings hurt here. I'm way too strong for that.

Ohtani watches a batting practice pitch go by for strike three looking. Even Ohtani looks like he doesn't give a fuck right now.
-
Rengifo does something. Yay. Now Expect Ohtani to not come through with runners on and a chance to tie.

What in the world was that AB by Adams...

Listen pal. That’s a rock solid 9 ERA
Strad wants us to be the team to throw him a mega multi-year contract, lol. Based on what I'm not sure. I'd rather bring up the next Detmers to replace him, at least it would be cheap and have some sort of potential.

It appears that we are encountering yet another example of a player coming to the Angels and transforming into dog shit.
But "let's keep Nevin and the coaching staff, it's all on the players"

Do me a favor mathematician - why don't you cut out the first 81 games of the season and give me the rest.

I think there is a good chance they go after Giolito in the off season. I think they should if I am being honest.
No.

Another game well under way and Angels have 0 runs again. Is this offense still 2nd in OPS?
Take advantage against this Rays team
