Being from AZ I loosely followed the D'backs however never really felt a personal connection to them. However I really was fascinated with Vlad and how he would never wear gloves to bat. Helped I would drive by Diablo Stadium frequently whenever we'd go to see my Dad at work in downtown Phoenix too. I really got into the Angels when I got back in the MLB the Show series with MLB 14. I had an absolute blast playing with the Halos on there. I then started watching Angels games more that year, checking up on stats and such. Bought my first Angels hat a year later, and never looked back. I do envy the oldheads here who grew up watching this team from the start. I imagine you have a lot of great stories. The Angels will always be my team now.

What is it with sites like twitter, Facebook and Instagram that turned people in giant assholes? We all know none of these people would say any of that in person, so why do they do it from behind a screen? What do they gain from this? I say this as a long time lurker of social media and it is truly devstating to see how shitty human beings are to each other. And yes I understand on sites like angels win opinions and ideas often collide. However seems there's a bit more at stake here due to this community being a bit more intertwined.

I have always liked Stassi. Always felt he was a solid Catcher. Glad he will be back. Glad his son is okay.

If the angels don’t sign Ohtani I hope they get some good pitching and some good run support. Soler and Bellibomb might not be bad options. From a winning standpoint it would be in the angels best interests to let Ohtani walk. just my opinion

Don't forget the blackouts with MLB.tv Blackouts are just stupid. For example why on earth would a Cubs game be blacked out in Iowa? Do people actually expect a fan to think "awh shucks this game is blacked out! Guess I'll have to buy a ticket, drive a few hundred miles to watch my Cubbies play". Setting aside the flaws of regional brodcasts, I really do prefer regional brodcasts over national ones however. This is mostly due to the fact the announcers are going to be more familiar to with the respective teams they announce for. Hence why you said they need to broden the reach of regional brodcasts somehow or someway. Anyways, you might like this video. Relevant to the discussion at hand.
