  1. Yep. There's no way I could handle Black every day. He's a FANTASTIC stand up, though. He's so good at bringing everything full circle. Of all the guys I've seen perform live, he and Chapelle were the best at bringing what I thought would be completely disparate items together. We picked up tickets for a show Black did in Oakland up the day of the show and were two rows back. It was magical. You could see how much effort he puts into his shtick. Sweat was flying off of him like nobody's business. He's incredibly intelligent and his delivery is so damned polished. I wouldn't be shocked if he died on stage one day.
  2. If this was your audition, you're out. That's far too obvious a direction.
  3. The discussion really should begin and end with Oliver. While it's true that he has the benefit of being able to use a week's worth of material for his shows thus far, he absolutely kills it and he was wonderful when he was on The Daily Show.
  4. Gaffigan and Black are both great. Time for a Hot Pocket.

  6. The stats suggest that you ought to add the man you spend your days screaming at on the main board during baseball season to your list. He is, statistically speaking, a Hall of Fame worthy manager.
  7. I believe it. I can't imagine the kind of stuff that you guys have to leave on the floor/drive. Some of those people... yikes.
  8. Competent creative direction allowed a completely unknown quantity (Guardians of the Galaxy) to make more globally than the last Spider Man film in 2014.Imagine how much more that shit storm of profit would be with an even halfway decent product. Sony has completely f*cked up Spider Man. They should have just let Raimi do whatever the hell wanted to do and not forced characters and plot lines on him. Spider Man 2 was unbelievably good.
  9. Let's not use the word "catastrophic" in association with the possible loss of anything related to "The Bachelor."
  10. Microsoft is offering 100 GB free for two years right now.
  11. I'm not going to freak out like Nate did over this as I like the Western Bacon Cheeseburger (not nearly as much as a Double Double, though), but after I have one, my body practically screams at me for my decision. It's almost as if my system wants me to recognize the presence of this particular burger in my system until the moment it is eliminated. There's this indescribable aura that the WBC carries. It's odd, but this never fails to be the case. I still get one every six or so months, though.
  12. I think Buh actually just took a non DC job a couple of days ago.
  13. No problem. I'm now only four episodes in, but damn... Peaky Blinders is the best thing going right now in my opinion. It's just so great.
  14. I have no idea, but of the guys pictured, I really think that Pop is the right choice. The consistency with which the Spurs organization has played is incredibly impressive. Annoying, but impressive. Their core has been more or less the same, but the method by which he (and Buford) been able to just plug players in and find effective complementary pieces for Duncan, Parker and Ginobili is downright incredible. Furthermore, it really has allowed the fans to form a relationship, if you will, with those main guys. It's really cool to see. How many guys can you name recently that have stuck with the same organization for a decade, let alone three guys? They've been together for thirteen years. I get sick of hearing about them, but it's Pop. What a jerk.
  15. Absolutely. You guys are spoiled rotten right now.
  16. I honestly think it will lead to better football, as long as they're coached well. I truly believe that with momentum, they could steal a lot of Stanford's thunder. The facilities at Cal are truly wonderful, but when they finally went online, the football program itself was a flaming bag of poo falling into the pits of hell.
  17. That was record time. You bought in before you even declared you weren't buying in.
  18. I dunno. Should he? Does it have to be a leak? Is it more ethical to discuss with recruiting reporters that you may be considering other offers or remain silent and essentially tell kids to sign on the line and that you'll be their coach? Or should he tell the Falcons to shove it given the timing and the fact that they had to have known NSD was right around the corner? Or would that have not been personally advantageous? Whatever the case, he's in a tough situation. If he didn't tell Mora, he wasn't going to tell anybody else. However you slice it, he's not coming out smelling good. This is a slimy business.
  19. I'm afraid that want for a more direct means of informing recruits isn't an excuse. If the contention is that he would have directly called recruits if only he were allowed to, then he certainly shouldn't have had a problem discussing it in very careful language with a reporter. Seriously. I think it's fair to assume that if he didn't tell Mora, he sure as hell wouldn't have called recruits if he were allowed to.
