  1. The AZL Angels win in their debut. Orem and Arkansas win as well. Seems to be the only thing we can get excited about with the Angels struggling badly.
  2. Hi @John Stellman I did some research on you. You used to write for the OC Register years ago. July 15th, 1973 http://www.ocregister.com/articles/ryan-654998-throws-year.html Found your bio online. http://www.angelsreport.com/about-john-stellman/ Welcome to AngelsWin.com
  3. Yeah, I'm down with this. I like his power and his D and arm is pretty good. Profiles well in LF. He just needs every day at bats.
  4. I was out all day doing Father's Day type stuff so I missed the game, but just saw the highlights. Major props! Also, I agree he should finish in the rotation. He's paid his dues and we're not going to make the playoffs... unless we do. BTW, most of the young stat-driven guys fell out of love with Weaver because he lost his FB velo.. Sad.
  5. Happy Father's Day guys.. Hope you all had a great day!
  6. No they're not. Greg Maddux was a stud for years, hitting 88-91 MPH with his fastball.
  7. If ya'll want you can use the chat room to discuss Tim Lincecum's start today in real time. http://www.angelswin-forum.com/forums/chat/
  8. I agree. Robinson is a late inning replacement for defense, not a starter. Ugh!
  9. Grichuk was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Saturday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Kolten Wong's recent switch to center field has given the Cardinals the flexibility to send Grichuk back to the minors to work through his hitting struggles. Grichuk has been mired in a slump for a month now, slashing .207/.263/.402 with 25 strikeouts in that span. He'll head back to Triple-A, where the hope is that he'll be able to bust out of his slump in short order.
  10. Guys... you have the ability to edit your own posts and thread titles. Please spell correctly and use proper grammar when creating thread titles. I know we fat finger and make typos in posts, but there's no excuse to create a thread, spell a word wrong and not fix it. /end rant Now as far as the take is considered, walk off wins are exciting. Why would a team NOT celebrate?
  11. This lineup gives me a boner. Yes... I get hard when the wind blows still.
  12. I do not see any real skill set in Arakawa's game. If anything he's a utility guy on the infield. A replacement for Pennington after next season? I'd rather see Sherman Johnson who can play 2B, 3B and the outfield. He gets on base, has some speed and pop. Sherm's numbers so far this season are much better than last season. .276/.369/.473/ and an OPS of .842 w/ 8 HR, 9 SB so far on the season. Cal Towey is looking good though. .294/.407/.455 is not too shabby. Would like to see more power though (only 4 HR, the most he's hit in a season is 10).
  13. What? There's just too many of these sports networks. The owner of this one must have gathered some big time investors to have them put a ton of cash in the pot in order to pay Heyman and writers for each team.
