Good, Guillorme isn’t in the long-term plans. I have super low expectations of Paris but would be amazing if he just took this opportunity and ran with it.
I imagine Rengifo could send Guillorme to the waiver wire once he’s back, though Goodrum has been bad too. Maybe when Drury or Stefanic can come back. Sure wish we had Livan Soto still.

I was hoping for then entire young guys lineup tonight but Adell gets the night off.
Go Angels, win one of three!
    Yeah, that's weak sauce.

Yeah, well, it's just another learning experience for everyone.

Look I know the season sucks right now. And I'm not sure if there's a light at the end of the tunnel. At least as long as Arte is the owner. But whatever.
I had an interesting interaction a few days ago of which I am trying not to read into. However seems a late trend in sports lately is to follow the winning team, or the popular team at the moment. Feels as if allegiances to your favorite team is gone. And those of us who do, are mocked for sticking to our team during it's lowest times. So a few days I ago I was wearing one of my many Angels caps. I'm at the store, waiting in line. Some dude turns to me, and gives me some strange dirty look and starts shaking his head. He then asked "why do you even like that team, they suck." I then just told him I've always loved the Angels and will be a fan for life. I then asked him who his team was, and he told me he is a life long Rangers fan. Convienent huh? I then asked him what his favorite Rangers memory, and he went on about the world series last year. Alright, that's fair. So I then went on to ask him who his favorite player was, and he mentioned Garcia. I then went on to ask if how he felt about Ron Washington being back in the ALW. He didn't know who that was, and I explained he was the Halos Skipper. This is where it got interesting. He went on to say "oh the angels manager? yeah he sucks man probably one of the worst managers out there". Interesting how a Rangers "fan" doesn't know who Wash is. I then wanted to be sure so I started asking him if he remembered Adrian Beltre, and he had no idea who he was.
I just find it interesting how people have become bandwagon fans rather than sticking to their team during low points. It's bad for the sport all around. And makes me sick. As a 30 year old millenial I understand this could very well be a generational thing as well. This seems more common with my generation, and extremely common with Gen Z.

Fulmer reminds me a little of Brendon Donelly's delivery.

Pillar's having a couple weeks of excellent production. Be nice if he could have a couple more months of this.

Carpino has nothing to do with the product on the field.
John Carpino was named the eighth president in Angels' history November 14, 2009. He oversees all areas of business, sales, marketing, finance and communications. Carpino’s top priority is fan value and experience in all areas of the game including concessions, merchandise, promotions and ticketing.

Irony is Pillar and Calhoun hitting well.
Starting pitching hasn’t been bad lately.
Now if only there was a bullpen and not the Great Arson Squad.

Honestly, this season has been worse than the 90's. You at least always had some horses in the rotation (Finley, Abbott, Langston, Witt) early on, Percy closing and some damn good performers on the field in Salmon, GA, Edmonds, Erstad, Snow etc.

We all have to look on the bright side.  When guys get healthy, it will be very easy to find someone to DFA and virtually no one will miss them.

Well, I thought we were done in April of 2002 before the incredible turnaround. The 14th loss which actually put us 10.5 games back was an excruciating 1-0 game vs Seattle where I believe we had the tying run on third twice in the late innings.

You know what he named his new venture?  Halo Sports and Entertainment.  No joke:

That said, there's no reason to think he'd be interested in the Angels.
EDIT: Side note: Ballmer was the major investor in the holding company that bought and still runs the last research firm I worked at.  He was very hands-off and aside from one video conference call that he was on not long after I joined, I don't recall him having any direct interaction with any of the senior level execs.  I think he was content to just let his money do the work and have the CEO of the holding company (Mark Penn, who some of you might be familiar with) deal with any issues.

Now that Intuit Dome is completed for next NBA season, Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and his $105 billion net worth needs a new challenge.
What better than overwhelming Moreno with an offer (up to $4 billion?) to purchase the Halos, and then begin a battle with the Guggenheims up the 5 freeway and eventually get a new stadium built with his own money?
    One can dream.

I’m pretty good (bad?) about finding things to be optimistic about, or looking for silver linings, but this team is just a brand new experience for me. Assuming it’s kind of like the 1992 team. I came around to the Angels as a kid during the ‘94 season, so a healthy baseball card diet led to me notice how lackluster that team was (Gaetti led the team with 12 HR) and this team feels similar.
Goodrum, Guillorme, Adrianza, Pillar, Tucker, and Calhoun. Yikes.
Only thing keep my attention is that Schanuel, O’Hoppe, Neto and Adell are still showing signs, and some of the lower-level prospects have some intrigue. A good draft and a smart deadline sell or two could accelerate things but this could be the beginning of a rough few years.

He is doing great in the # 9 spot. No need to mess with success, he produces well from where he is comfortable with. Some players are just that way.
