    Everytime I see Pujols' remaining salary, I throw up a little in my mouth.

    Baseball is the last of the purist major sports. Too many post-season teams waters down regular season play. One of the very few things I ever disagreed with Coach Wooden on was his thought that every NCAA D-1 team should take part in the NCAAT. With that, why bother to have a regular season?

    Kendrick isn't cheap either, and turns 35 in 2018. Hernandez would bring much needed OBP (about .370 over the past two seasons). It just seems that Skaggs will always be a tease.

    Acquire Hernandez (around .370 OBP since 2016) from the Phillies for Skaggs, sign Chatwood and Moose, keep Upton, re-sign Petit, and sign a solid lefty reliever. S- Hernandez, R- Trout, R- Upton, L- Moose, R- Pujols, L- Calhoun, R- Simmons, R-Cron, R- Maldonado R-GRich, R-Chatwood, R-Shoe, R-Bridwell, L-Heaney; with R- JC Ramirez waiting to return R-Parker, R-Petit, R-Bedrosian, R-Middleton, L-new lefty, R-N. Ramirez, clean peanut

    The Scherzer's are by far the few and far in between. The best bet by far is being good at scouting and developing pitching prospects. Weave was a possible #2 in 2006-2010, and a definite #1 in 2011-2012, and home grown.

    It just annoys me that someone, who makes even John Goodman's Babe Ruth circa 1935 look like Billy Hamilton on the bases, could potentially play these next 4 seasons. Is Pujols not sufficiently embarrassed for himself to be thrown out at 1B from LF?

    Plus, even though the $204 million Grienke has been really good this season, he struggled a year ago in his initial D-Backs season. Too much money for an up and down pitcher! More big money FA position players have worked out well, vs big money FA pitchers.

    Moose is more important than Hosmer. Thaiss (another LHH) may be just a year away from taking over 1B. There are no 3B prospects on the farm. Upton slots perfectly into DH role, once Pujols hopefully retires after 2018.

    Three important things happened to help Goff greatly. Firing the stone age offense minded Fisher, hiring the new age offense minded McVay, and dumping that total flop Greg Robinson from the OL. Robinson may well be as big of a flop as there has been from a top two overall draft pick.

    Face turn for Strowman? He comes out on RAW to go after heel Hawkins. Then after RAW went off the air, he came out and power slammed newly heeled Enzo, and then instead of attacking anyone else, motioned to all the Cruiserweights to come into the ring and do some more damage to Enzo. Double turn took place, Neville seemingly turning face as Enzo turned heel.

    I'd settle for eliminating the 2nd WC. It's stupid having essentially a one game playoff in each league EVERY season! MLB was doing fine before the 2nd WC spot was added.

    All I know is, Trump is acting very unpresidential like. It's one thing to try to change a corrupt Congress. It's quite another to makes tweets that an immature teen or adult would likely make, while acting as president.

    If Arte can't afford to go over the tax threshold one time in 2021 (Pujols' last contract season), then sell the freaking team!!!!

    +1 Unfortunately, it likely wore the team down by September. Trout (until late August), Simba, Machete, Petit, Parker, Bridwell, JC Ramirez until being hurt, Cron's 2nd half, BudLite's 1st half, Upton's September offense, GRich's September, and Noe Ramirez' September were all fun to watch. Only one more NoStuffCo start!
