Okay, why then did the players consistently unachieve in April so far in the 2010s, instead of keeping pace and not falling a ton of games back after a month?

Runny ball has sucked so far in 2013. I wouldn't be too sad to see it go.

Haren makes me sad too, because we gave up two pitchers (Skaggs and Corbin) who would likely be better right now than Blantana and Hanson, and cost us some $10-12 million less for 2013 and 2014 each.

Tell me then what there is to really like about a franchise that has: a) A mediocre pitching staff, Overpaid hitters who can only hit with no one in scoring position, c) A coaching staff that seems lost increasingly, d) A farm system without much talent, e) Very little presence in foreign country scouting, f) An owner seemingly with no clue on what it takes to build a balanced org.

It's the way this franchise is setting itself up for failure over the next several years, that pisses me off, on top of being post-seasonless since 2010. 2010s are fast becoming like the 1980s for the Skanks (hold fingers to nose to handle the stench). If we had a baseball savvy enough owner, it would have never, eeeever gotten to this point; because that owner would have never hired J. Pierpont Reagins as GM, and would have kept tabs on Scioscia, making sure he was truly the right guy instead of just a guy who benefitted from Maddon, Black, and Roenicke.
